Is Destiny cross platform playable?
Is this game cross platform?
Basically will I be able to play my friends or random people who have different systems?
I highly doubt PS$ and Xbox systems will play each other but will PS# and PS4 play together?
Same for 360 and Xbox One, will they be able to play together or is this game strictly which system you choose?

From what I understand, you won't be able to play cross-platform. The console architectures are far too different from each other for that to happen. It's the same reason the XBONE isn't backwards compatible, adding in 360 emulation hardware would jack up the price. In short, even if two consoles have the same brand name on them, it doesn't mean the hardware is similar enough to allow cross-play. I wish it weren't that way... But that's technology for you. :(

I think it's been mentioned. I would like that so my friends who haven't upgraded can still play.

An official announcement hasn't been given. From what I understand, It hasn't been ruled out PS3 to PS4 or 360 to 1

I highly doubt that such a thing will ever happen each console plays alone. It would be a fun way to play but the capability just isn't there just like the Xbox one and 360 we can send messages but can't be in party's or Play games that are available on both consoles.
