Okay, it's a nice skill. I mean I'm pretty good at it myself (at least for an American apparently). But I'm just thinking, what careers actually require that you know geopolitics? I mean not even the president necessarily needs to know (Herman Cain reference). Teachers don't count since they're not actually utilizing the skill, they're just teaching it.
Okay, so beyond a travel agent, how useful is this skill really?

For most growing businesses, being able to mark growth on the basis of segmented areas can be a valuable asset.

Anyone going into the field of international relations and/or someone who wants to work intimately with their respective country's foreign policy, as well as someone who wants to work for an intelligence agency, would find geopolitics very useful.
