Melee attacks should not use knives
Melee attacks in destiny should not have knives. Instead, they should use the players, fists and guns. Unless players have three arms, the time or would take to put away their weapon, draw their knife, stab their enemy, put the knife away, and draw their gun, would be much slow than the tube it would take to bash someone's head with the butt of your rifle. Now if you're using a knife and a one-handed gun, or no gun, that's different.

Knuckle dusters, Destiny-style! As always, I think Warlocks should create weapons made of pure Space Magic for their melee attacks.

I just hope it's not a one hit kill. I highly doubt a warlock could punch a knife through a titan's chest plate, or heck a cabal's armor piece. Though If they want to have heavy melees mass effect 3 style that'd be welcome.

Well in an article in GameInformer it said melds attacks are chosen from an equitable item. Skills go along with it. Can't remember the name of it though.

While I was in bootcamp there was three things that my drill instructor who was a 10th mountain sniper had said to us 1. What you learn here for combat training don't mean sh** until your in the sh**, 2. I'm f*** crazy privates, 3. Always have a knife. So I'm pretty sure the Sargent that put 20 rounds in a guy at point blank range and smiled about it knows a lil more then the guy that plays video games all day!

2 RepliesEdited by PureTweakage: 1/14/2014 5:20:39 PMYou wouldn't put your weapon away....it takes one hand to pull a knife and stab and to a well trained soldier is much faster than reloading when in close quarters...hell real actual humans can do it...a forest recon marine or seal team member for example...the knife isn't at a place far from reach its always placed in a tactical position...no put it in a fiction setting far in the future with combat hardened well trained soldiers with a plethora of technology....totally possible

It is entirely possible that the titan will use his/her fists when they melee. Remember each focus has its own melee weapon.

I hope they don't make the melee just a quick slash with a click of a button, if thats the case that will make it less attractive.
