Monkey See Monkey Do. People do not fear the Wrath of the Ban Hammer any more. Heck some of the stuff i pulled not long ago should have been ban worthy. Even in my own esteemed opinion. People these days want Deej to just ignore there troll posts let them do as they like with some of the really Taboo subjects or taking things too far.
They cry about how they are being oppressed when they should know better. If you are not going to post such content in a public place such as a school or on the street why is it here ? Common Decency is a thing of the past. Making things public means that while you have the right to do so we also have the right to say what is and what is not appropriate in the public domain.
Just because Deej wants us to customize our experience does not mean we have to see the same stupid people over and over with a hundred new email accounts or the new kid troll on the block who sees the other trolls then picks up the bad habits.
Mute does not fix the problem and allot of times reporting unless its offensive in some way or has strong content is not even worthy of a report. Not saying it should be as strict as old B.Net but cleaning the crap out of the gutters before it clogs the system would be nice so often even if we do not see it these days.
We need to keep people honest.

The problem is what is acceptable in the grey area. We have allot of people push that far to get a response. It is a silent ban hammer that strikes. Most do not report it as they have a high tolerance level. Once engulf of these grey area or near exceeding the limits posts clogs the system people complain. Politics and Religion were banned from B.net old for good reason as it took away from the games not to mention the flame wars or trolling it could set off. Some have pushed farther but bans get handed out for drug ect talk. The Community needs to define standards better and what is acceptable. Some Religion talk is OK but keep it respectable. 99% of the reason why i do not post in off topic is mainly the people there post stupid topics or are out to simply burn the world with there trolling. Those who skirt the edge need to be addressed and it has gotten lax around here on Community policing its own members here on B.net so the Mods can address those who think they are untouchable due to popularity or simply due to them not giving a crap about others thus starting a flame war or being a bigot. Our community needs to step it up and lessen the grey area while allowing people to have fun here. I hope that Bungie adds more features later yet many old members left seeing that the gates were open. Thus this site became like the others. Total Chaos. We need to focus on the games Bungie makes not some political or religious beliefs. A good policy i aim to keep going from Bungies past. Some times the old ways are the best ways.
