What do I do when I feel irritated beyond words and kind of want to yell at someone. I never do but the feeling of wanting to is tempting.

Well, it depends on the situation, and your relationship with the person. If it is someone close to you, you could always talk with them about their behavior and perhaps explain that you are irritated with them. If it isn't someone close to you, well, sometimes it is just best to avoid confrontation like that. You should just ignore it in your case, and don't let their behavior bother you.
