Bungie barely has the manpower or the time to develop for more platforms. They've never released a game for 4 consoles at once. They just pushed backed the date of release by 4 or 5 months. It's not happening. They don't have the ability to do it. If they were too, it would not meet the standards to which they make their games.

-For us, Destiny represents a once in a lifetime opportunity. - They cant miss releasing it for PC because it is a "once in a lifetime opportunity" - Only through great risks are great things truly achieved. - They said that they would spread theirselves too thin , and thats a risk they can take.
-
It doesn't matter if this is a "Once in a lifetime opportunity." for PC gamers. Bungie has a lot riding on this game being successful. This is the first time in over a decade that Bungie is putting out a quality game as an Independent Studio. They need to prove they are up to the task. It's obvious they are already at their limit for the work they can handle. They even moved the release date all the way to september. It's not a once in a lifetime opportunity for PC Gamers. It's not a worthwhile risk for Bungie.
Only through great risks are great things truly achieved.
False. They can be done through hard work. Bungie is very hard at work right now. They don't have the resources available to port the game to PC, otherwise it would have been announced by now. It's just not happening. If you really want to play Destiny, you can always buy an Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, or PS4.

"They don't have the resources available to port the game to PC, otherwise it would have been announced by now." - They will when they release the game.
-
When they release the game they will be working on Destiny 2. Bungie is under contract to make four Destiny games. It takes years to make a game, so their will be zero time in between development of the two games. I would also expect the development of Destiny 2 to have begun before the first is even out.
-
So you`re telling me that there will be four Destiny games? Each game individual?
-
It's been confirmed for over a year and a half....
-
Damn...
-
Damn? That's good. It means more games.
-
And what does that exacly mean? Four different Destiny games?
-
Yes. One game, then a major DLC for it the next year. That happens four times. 2014: Destiny 2015: Destiny DLC 2016: Destiny 2 2017: Destiny 2 DLC 2018: Destiny 3 2019: Destiny 3 DLC 2020: Destiny 4 2021: Destiny 4 DLC I suppose that their COULD be more after that, but what I just wrote is what Bungie is under contract to make.
-
So four different games each with own DLC and individual story and gameplay?
-
Not sure on the details of each game, but they're continuations of Destiny. We'll see in the future.
-
Another dissapointment...I thought that Destiny will be a game that will have no other games that will be even or over it. (if you can understand me) . For me Destiny had to be a "one and only" game.
-
It's never been implied. It is possible that your character carries over between games though.
-
Thats great but...why not continue with other DLC`s than with other games?
-
DLC's keep people interested in the first game while they are working on the next game, plus it provides additional sources of revenue. More money and a higher population is worth diverting a small team to work on DLC versus adding their work force to the next game.
-
And with every new game are things going to change like classes , races , planets , story?
-
How am I supposed to know that?
