Is this what we can expect out of this generation of gaming? Microtransactions for games we have paid full price for? It's only gonna get worse since people are going to eat this shit up.
This is disappointing Sony, at least Nintendo hasn't gone down this route yet.

And I thought last gen was bad with it's obnoxious DLC practices.

5 RepliesSeeing how Sony fans made fun of Forza for this its nice to see karma and know that their beloved 1st party games are doing the exact same thing as forza. Its even funnier to see them justify this lolz

Edited by Badman: 12/5/2013 3:31:02 AMAs long as they didn't change the game to make the grind longer. GT has always made you win races to earn money then purchase cars with the exception of some car prizes for tournaments. As long as they haven't lowered the money you win per race to try and convince you to pay some real money then its nothing bad. It'll be just a fast track for somebody who doesn't have the time to commit to GT6 or somebody who wants instant gratification. But! If the reviews come out and the grind is double what GT5 was just to convince you to spend money then they are jackasses who won't be getting a game purchase from me.

6 Replieswhile no where near as bad ad forza, this doesn't excuse them. What is with this pay to win bullshit thats choking up our games?!?
-
4 RepliesWow thats just like Forza 5. Gaming is going to the dogs.
-
1 ReplyBU- BUT SONY LOVES THE GAMER GUYS. THEY CAN DO NO WRONG!
-
1 ReplyDamn I thought Sony loved me.

This is shocking how again? Not that I'm okay with it, but there are MMOs that have weapons worth thousands of dollars.

20 RepliesEdited by BritLemon: 12/4/2013 9:44:53 PM
one of the top priced, the Jaguar XJ13, which costs 20 million credits. You can grind for it in traditional Gran Turismo fashion or you can buy it straight away if you drop £119.95 - that's the total you pay for two packs of 7m credits, two packs of 2.5m credits and one pack of 1m credits.
Micro-transactions are so shitty. people need to stop -blam!-ing up the system.
-
-blam!- Microtransactions

Lol $50 bones for 7mil in game credit? No one should pay over $20 for something like that
-
Hooray for pay 2 win.

What the -blam!-?!

4 RepliesWell at least I have the option to grind for the money. In fact, in GTA V they recquire you to level up to use your money (frustratingly, this is for clothes and accessories and make-up and hair styles for no discernible reason whatsoever, instead of taking a note from Saint's Row book...) so you don't get ahead of the game with buying money (not that there's any need to with the new money glitch but I don't play a game and then try to break it because that's not always fun).

What now, Sonydrones?

1 Reply*sigh* Pay2win, y u messin wit muh gaems?/

1 ReplyWhy is everything becoming like f2p games now?
-
3 RepliesWatch people not care about this and rationalize it as optional while simultaneously bashing MS for doing the same thing with Forza.
-
3 RepliesCan you still get the cars legitimately? Is so, then it's not as big as deal as what GTA is doing right now.

Srsly

3 RepliesAgreed. I expected Sony to not do this. This is optional though, you can still work for points like I did in gt5. People find it more fun earning the points in general tbh.
