I'm only gonna mention new info/or verify uncertain info:
1. Race and gender is cosmetic: Your face will be visible in shared, non-combat spaces where you roam w/o a helmet. You can therefore customize your face, hair style, and tattoos are mentioned.
2. Human are humans trying to rebuild the world; Awoken survived the Collapse, but were forever changed (I don't know if this hints that Awokens were humans prior to the Collapse and were exposed to something, or something else. I believe it's the former because Humans did not know of any aliens, seeing as how "we weren't alone" discovery was the alien invasion.) Exo are self-aware machines developed during the Golden Age and rebooted with their memories wiped (Unknown original purpose).
3. Choosing a class sets a tone by establishing style of abilities. What really determines how you play is how you develop your "focus". Each type of guardian (Hunter, Warlock, and Titan) have a class-specific focus. "Focuses" are the primary way we level and improve characters. Each focus advances from level 1 - 20. Within each focus their are tiers from different abilities (passive bonuses, weapon specialty bonuses, grenade types, unique movements like double jump and teleport, melee bonuses). Each focus has a "super ability" associated with it that can also be upgraded (It doesn't explain if we can have more than one active focus at once or if we can mesh in different abilities from different focuses). Hence it is your management in investing in focuses (and their ability tree) that makes your character rather than your class (Although I assume that the class to some degree would open you up to unique or more readily available focuses.) We can switch between focuses i.e. pick a more competitive focus for pvp and the switch to a more support focus for cooperative raid work... So you are never truly tied into one focus although this makes me wonder if you can master all of them.
-Warlocks: start with a focus called Circle of Night - damage dealing but little protections and the super ability in the nova bomb but....
the can switch to another focus called Heart of Fusion - a support build that's super ability is called Radiance and call revive and buff allies (we have seen this in one of the documents where the Warlock jumps up and in a white light thrusts energy into the ground that disperses everywhere... Healer confirmed!)
-Titans: start with a Close-quarters focus that has Fist of Havoc super. In later upgrades the shockwave can be more powerful adding electric damage over time that remains in place after you leave for a limited time.
-Hunter : Super is the "Ghost Gun?"... I think they meant Golden Gun cuz it's the one hit kill... that can be upgraded to explosively burn peeps (I think what we saw in the demo with the upgraded version of golden gun... Flaming Golden Gun!)
4. Everyone can use all guns (some will use certain things better though dependent on the focus/abilities they invest in).
5. Armor, weapons, and focuses are meant to be synergistic! Basically the focus you pick should be accented with weapons and armor the maximize effectiveness... but that's up to the player. Primary, Secondary, and Heavy weapons use three different color-coded ammo types. Armor is class specific.... so now switching capes or robes or loin clothes!
6. Each of us gets a Lannister ghost, a customization personal vehicle (speeder bike) to travel in open-world environments, and a space ship that will be visible to people when you zip in and out, before cooperative and competitive matches hanging in orbit (Can somehow show off our accomplishments? Medals, insignia, etc.. perhaps)

Sounds very promising. Let's just hope that the facial customization isn't terrible and has enough options to truly let out characters look like how we imagine them to be.
-
I hope there's another hunter focus, like super speed or something. I'm also hoping for clip-fed pistols.
-
All i can think about right now is lannister ghost and how badly i want it to be stark ghost with a wolf insignia
-
Just a heads up, you probably shouldn't call the Ghost a "Lannister Ghost". I get the reference, (GoT ftw) but a lot of people may not, and if that happens we may have misinformed people running amuck about the forums, talking about how we have "lanisterr gh0stz" and arguing vehemently that they're right, even when all the evidence points against them.
Also, thanks for these summaries, they're great :P
SOOPER excited for healer focus. first character is going to be a titan, but second is totally going to be an awoken warlock healer. no one on my team will die.
-
Just got really excited for Destiny. This is the stuff I like to hear about.
-
I'm still picking Warlock. (The armor is boss FTW!)
-
I hope you can have two character slots. Slot 1: Exo Hunter Male Slot 2: Awoken Warlock Female
-
Great! I can use a sniper rifle with my warlock. I'm so happy right now lol. People were saying that the sniper might only be for hunters. I plan on using a hand cannon, assault rifle/ SMG, and a sniper rifle... One weapon for each range
-
Thanks for the info and now i have another reason to pick warlock
-
Thanks a bunch. Never knew some of this stuff
-
Thank you John Galt :) ...............for stealing my username haha

Also, Hunters appear to have another focus whose Super uses their knife in a similar manner as Golden Gun, while making lightning-fast dashes between enemies. I strongly suspected that the E3 demo and other videos were showing the powered-up versions of their abilities. The mention of the full-power "Fist of Havok" having an electrical effect just confirmed it for me. Also, the version of "Radiance" shown in the (I think) Moon video appeared to blast enemies to dust in addition to the aforementioned healing effects.

i think you should be able to find audio logs or diary pages maybe even flash back videos that show/tell you about the old world and the exo's past seems like an interesting one, theres so much lore and story they can put into this game its unreal :D
-
Thanks for the information. Now my choice is... what type of Warlock to play?!
-
although this makes me wonder if you can master all of them
I'm sure over time you'll be able to. I can't imagine that we would be limited imo
-
You're a scholar and a gentleman OP. Thank you.
-
Focuses are going to make it 10000x more difficult to decide what class I want to be :(
-
-
I wish we could actively pilot our personal ships. Oh well. Gotta save something for the sequel, right?
-
so i am guessing the hunter will have a focus for the knife or for stealth
-
Appreciate the new info, very helpful. Though, the reveal of info on the Exo intrigues me the most. Well done.
-
its nice to hear new names but i know all these things
-
I feel more interested in the game, but also more ashamed of myself for spoiling it for myself...

Anything on color customization?
