2 RepliesThat game... helped me grow up. It taught me not to trust people, because I distinctly recall two times I got massively scammed and lost... well, near everything.

I played RS as a lvl 98 member and played off and on until 2011 or so. I remember how this guy transferred about 3 mill of heraldic gear through me and I was too much of a newb to take it and run. At least I got 10k, strength amulet and a cape though. Funny thing though, I saw him in Varrock begging for gold after a few months.

Yep, I used to play it a lot when I was younger.

I mined coal in the level 13 edgeville mine (with all the skeletons). It was the only place you could get coal without a 4 man pile up per rock in f2p at the time. So I'm nearing a full load when my health begins to drop. The original crossbow was pegging me from the hands of a filthy range pure. So I sprinted from danger...[b] North![/b] What a noob mistake! (I was one.) The realization hit me when I used the last of my emergency food and no closer to home. Knowing my fate I decided I wasn't going out like this. Time to grow a spine and give him what I've got! So I turned on my last leg, rose my adamant pickaxe and struck!... Random Event triggered The mysterious old man appears and teleports me to his maze. Stunned I broke down in hysterical laughter and blew the reward you get for completing the maze on time. I didn't care. That pure got nothing. >:)

I used to play it back in like 05-08. Got to about level 90 only f2p, never became a member. Completed all the free quests, had rune everything, farmed moss giants for big bones to boost prayer. Fished lobster and cooked them. And farmed those red demons in the volcano place. That was all on the same island where that dragon quest is, which was like the hardest free quest. Good times, then I moved on to a free game called Gunz which I still play to this day because it's raw as -blam!-.
