I can single a company out too, see.
Notice how there is considerably more fog and lens flare?
Notice how it's a lot duller than the reveal version?
EDIT: And there they are. Saying that more fog and more lens flare is better.

1 ReplyThe shitty quality of the gifs make it impossible to tell the difference, except the "release" versions look like there is a sepia filter or something.
-
The game still looks fine, who cares? Graphics aren't even that important tbh. As long as the fog and bloom isn't horrifically affecting my gameplay, i'm fine with it!
-
that's evil using the PC Mustard Race just because they're xbones/gs4 aren't good as PC
-
10 RepliesSonyshills are the worst. I can't believe Bungie's catering to these assholes. This is why I had second thoughts about preordering Destiny while waiting in line to purchase my X1, which did NOT have ANY issues when I did the update, put the disc in, etc.
-
4 RepliesProblem: Textures cannot be rendered the same as they are on PC Solution: Glowing purple gas Remember when people didn't cover everything up in fog to make it "look better"?

Reminds me of Reach campaign.

27 RepliesThose gifs are in completely different spots and it's nowhere near the difference of Forza's reveal and release. Forza 5 looks like it's an Xbox 360 launch game.
-
5 RepliesSooooooo same can be said about NVIDIA's take on Batman Origins with the fog? They added fog and actually improved textures as well. THEY ADDED not Subtracted like Forza5 http://images.eurogamer.net/2013/articles//a/1/6/3/5/6/3/2/7.bmp.jpg/EG11/resize/1920x-1

22 RepliesEdited by Regicide: 11/23/2013 3:38:58 AMI don't see what the issue is? The game looks better now than its reveal. http://gearnuke.com/killzone-shadow-fall-graphics-comparison-e3-vs-gttv-footage/ And what I don't understand about this is that you of all people made a thread revealing how butthurt you are about this false accusation when you have blatantly stated multiple times that you will not be getting a PS4 console in quite some time from now, go enjoy your Xbox One, Lemon.

Damn lemon you know how to rustle people's jimmies unintentionally

Edited by Gregory Marshall: 11/23/2013 10:56:36 PMSony didn't false advertise, most game developers are constrained to do this sort of thing. It's called a Vertical Slice and it's basically just a proof of concept. A portion of the team prepares a certain segment of the unfinished game to be revealed at these events (like E3) to show us gamers what they're aiming to achieve with their technology. This doesn't usually reflect the final rendition of the game because the actual game itself is still being worked on by the rest of the team. A vertical slice is a portion of the game stuck at a particular point of time within the game's development, when in fact, the game is continually being worked on. Additionally, because they don't need to maintain continuity with these individual slices, those teams working on them tend to use them to showcase what they are capable of. So you'll see that they have added and/or removed, refined and/or changed certain things to show-off their capabilities but, not necessarily their vision of what they want for the final product. That's why we see a lot "Work In Progress," "Beta Build," "Pre-Alpha Build," "Unfinished Product" and the rest of those disclaimers, it's also why we tend to see the same game demos used over-and-over again at these gaming events as well.

Edited by Psycho: 11/23/2013 9:03:28 AMI can't stand it when video clips are in the form of .gifs. Jesus, it spins my mind I tell you. No offence OP.

15 RepliesUm... it looks better. That fog gives it more atmosphere and the lighting is better.

10 RepliesMan, this is really shady business.

2 RepliesEdited by Prototape: 11/23/2013 7:30:43 AMDoesn't really bother me, still looks really nice. There will always be one point where they have to implement something to cover non-essential background. They can't rightly render everything at it's highest settings which is true for any system, PC included. Edit: Oh, I get the point of this now. Well... What I posted still stands :x There are extreme cases where I can see people getting upset, but generally it's kind of a well-known fact that pre-release presentations capitalize on the game's strong-points. They are trying to get their game to appeal to everyone after all. You can't trust these things anymore, which is why I don't always buy games based off E3 previews.
