Halo 2 sucks
so does anyone else think halo 2 doesn't even compare to the first. i was so excited waiting to get the game, stayed up late went to midnight madness, waited another hour, finally got to play and what... total disappointment. yeah the graphics are better but it looks less real somehow now. the explosions look fake. the 3 shot burst on the rifle is a joke. on normal modes u can stand still and it takes quite a while for an elite to kill u, the ai doesn't seem any better to me. it is cool how the vehicles tear apart, but on one level i was driving a torn up ghost, my friend hits me square with a rocket, it just pushes me back, it didn't even hurt, no lie. now u can run into someone full speed with a ghost and it just sends them flying back hundreds of feet but yet still standing. i am sitting here writing this as my 2 other friends give the co op a try, they gave up after a few minutes. we called several other friends, they all agreed it just isn't right. i always said i didn't understand why i love halo so much, now im not sure why i dislike halo 2 so much, i just do. i never thought i would be sitting here writing this. what happened bungie?

ooops, maybe today wasn't the day to join these forums. anyway, I think Halo 2 was awesome, and I joined to talk about how great it was. anyway, my friend pre-ordered it from best buy, and I pre-ordered it from amazon.com. I thought that best buy would be like sold out and no chance he would get a copy, and I would have a nice special edition come to me by FedEx. In real life, he walked into Best Buy and got one and I have to wait until next Monday. Ooops. Anyway, he brought it to my house I just was blown away. I loved Halo (do I call it Halo or Halo 1?) and Halo 2 just brought me to tears of joy. The first ten minutes were like "Oh my god, I'm playing Halo 2." Anyway, my friend went home and I have no more Halo 2, so I surfed around and thought I'd join here, because I've been here before. now I just have to stand the rest of week and the weekend until Monday when FedEx comes....

All games that I've played have something utterly -blam!- about them. Just one or two little insignificant things though, nothing to completely ruin the game.

You also forgot to metion that when your playing online after each game you have to leave and join another. They needto make them role into each other so you can stay in the same room toghter for as long as there is a host in optimatech setting. Also whan you make your own party when you send your freind an invite it will not let them come.

huh?.... I think its great. x-box live is the main feature for me that makes it better than the first in my book.

Bungie should of made it possible for people to unlock the sacred pistol after beating every mission on Legendary.

No, It's not that bad.... Had any of you never played the first Halo you would say Halo 2 is the greatest game ever.... Imagine just how hard it would be the top the greatest game ever with the same game!!! Halo and Halo 2 are works of art, masterpieces!! My opinion is Xbox Live along with Halo 2 have a few bugs to work out for online play... Halo 2 Rocks... If you don't believe me, come over we'll link them up and you'll see how much you love the game and hate me...

I think Halo 2 ROCKS! It is a great game. Just think of all of you who bought it thinking it would be just like HALO 1. Well it's not. I think it Rocks so get use to it!

I havent played on Legendary cause I want to get into the story, so it is normal till I finish. The game isnt bad per se but I think ALL the hype bloated what the game is. Also its a sequal, and usually sequals dont live up to thje first, i.e. Shrek 2, Shrek 1 was way funnier except for puss in boots. The HYPE is what has caused this disappointment

the ai is f@#&ing awesome legendeary is actually a challenge that is one of the only goodd things!! But evryone is right its gonna take time weve been plkaying halo 1 for 4 years and its stuck in our heads but i hope it gets better or its its back xb connect

No no it's not bad at all, I think it's just different. It's stepped away from the original Halo in some ways that for me, really made Halo the best game I've ever played, but I'm sure that once I get more used to it, it will grow on me, it's just not the extension of the game I knew (if you catch my drift). The game is amazing dont listen to the naysayers and judge it for yourself. I noticed some of the things Mr. Gamespot reviewer had to say and it was just him whining cuz Halo 2 is going to run his special little PS2 into the ground.

Oh, sweet jesus, is the game really this bad? The most anticipated game on the Xbox is turning out to be crap.... I suppose we all got our own unique opinions on the game, and ill express mine - good or bad - on the 11th

I feel your pain. I'm almost too embarassed to tell my girlfriend that so far I'm a little dissapointed. She's had to listen to me rave about this for over a year! I think I'll hold final judgement till I play the whole thing. I'm like you I sold my PS2 and all my games just to get the xbox and Halo because I fell in love with it the first time I played it. I still love it! Guess I just need time to adjust...

I dunno how I should feel but I think its been a cobination of things in my disheartment of the release of Halo2. I have been playing Counter Strike recently for the first time and I have gotten used to that gameplay so in comparision the MC seems like he is moving really slow (alla Marathon). The story has been interesting so far, only up to 2nd campaign. The cutscenes look sorta bad. All in all I think its all the hype/ ilovebees/ biggest event of the year that has led this to happen. Yes I know it's not the same pistol, it just bugs me that it's not. I think they could have kept it but just made the rounds less strong. If not that, allowing the BR the one shot zoom like in the E3 trailer would have solved my problem.

Haven't finished the game yet but it still doesn't feel like I'm fighting an Elite.

Again, think about it .... why did they do this? would you rather listen to half a game of dribble looking at the subtitles for such messages or actually look at the cinematics and understand whats going on....having taken that into consideration, the story is intertwined in a way that it all comes together at the end, both plots....now tell me again you dont understand why the voices are english...
