Title. Also,
I saw Welcome to the NHK and it was great; there was one problem: it's only 24 episodes long!
I need something that will keep me immersed for a longer period of time. It sucks when things end. haha
I'm looking for animes within these genres:
* Slice of Life
* Drama
* Romance
* Action
* Comedy
* Martial Arts
(Of course it can be an anime that falls under more than one of these genres)

As suggested by many of you, I watched FMA: Brotherhood. Definitely better than FMA, but still suffered some of the same problems. It was okay.

IT'S OVER 9000! unless you're reading the manga, in which case IT'S OVER 8000!
-
Dragon ball z it has over 100 episodes and is really cool even though it starts a little slow

2 RepliesEveryone, i've seen FMA, but not brotherhood. I did not enjoy FMA enough to continue with brotherhood. But, I hear brotherhood is much better because it follows the manga. Is brotherhood much better than FMA? I'm having a hard time reconsidering brotherhood especially because a lot of people here recommend it for me.

I tend to stay away from longer anime. All I know is Deathnote which is 37 episodes.

1 ReplyOne Piece. If you grew up on Dragonball, this one might appeal to you. After a decade, it is just over half done.

Edited by Sesto: 11/22/2013 4:14:09 AMCode Geass. Two seasons; 25 episodes each. Slice of Life - Yes (in certain episodes) Drama - Yes Romance - Yes Action - Yes Comedy - Yes Martial Arts - ...uhm, I'm not sure if Spinzaku counts. Overall Code Geass is amazing. It has a good dub, too (if you need dubs). Highly recommend it.

8 RepliesNaruto and Naruto Shippuden, watch them subbed. They are very good and have a wide range of what your asking.

Most of the good stuff is under 50 episodes. When it goes over the 50 mark the stories are typically dragged out way to long and half of it tends to end up being a bunch of fillery bullshit. The only anime that come to mind at the moment that are at least 50 episodes long and retain their quality are Ghost in the Shell and Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood.
-
Death Note.
-
Clannad + After Story 52 episodes (Romance, Comedy, SoL, Drama) Fullmetal Alchemist : Brotherhood 52 episodes (Everything) Monster 70 some episodes (Doesn't fit your suggested genre) K-On 52 Episodes (SoL, Comedy)
