• I have 2 gamertags linked to one WLID. The 1st one i've never used it, its a fluke account created when i had problems creating a XBL account. Now Bungie.net only sees the one i dont use, and on XBOX.com there is no option to delete the other account ive never used. WTF its annoying.

 •
How do I change the password of my Windows Live ID/Bungie.net profile? Sign into http://account.live.com with your Windows Live ID. Under "Password reset information," you should see an option to change your current password.

How do I change the email address of my Windows Live ID/Bungie.net login? Sign into your Windows Live ID at http://account.live.com. You will the email address of your account displayed right below your name. There should be a link in parenthesis that says "Change email". Simply click that and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process. Please note that if the email address of your Windows Live ID is a Microsoft domain (such as live.com, hotmail.com, msn.com), you cannot change it.

How do I change the Windows Live ID associated to my Bungie.net profile? You don't. There's no way for you to change the Windows Live ID you use to sign into a particular account. If Bungie can find a secure way to do this, they'll probably allow it, but for now, you're out of luck.

How do I change the Windows Live ID associated to my Bungie.net profile? 1. Select your profile in the My Xbox area of the Xbox Dashboard. Then, select Manage Account. 2. On the Account Management menu, select Windows Live ID. 3. Select Change Windows Live ID. 4. Select Yes, I do when you receive the following message: Do you have another existing Windows Live ID to associate your Xbox LIVE account with? Note: On this screen, you are also notified that your total MS Points balance will be transferred to the new Windows Live ID. 5. Enter the password for the Windows Live ID that is currently associated with the Gamertag, and then select Sign in. 6. Enter the e-mail address and the password for the new Windows Live ID that you want to associate with your Gamertag, and then select Sign in. 7. Select Yes, change when you receive the following message: Do you want to change the Windows Live ID associated with your Xbox LIVE account? Note: On this screen, the old Windows Live ID and the new Windows Live ID to be associated with the Gamertag are displayed. 8. When you receive the following message on the confirmation page, select the option that you want: "We have completed the Windows Live ID change to your Xbox LIVE account. You will be required to use your new Windows Live ID when you log on to Xbox LIVE or Xbox.com". * Select Update Contact Information if you have to update your contact information. * Select Done to finish.

How do I link a new Xbox LIVE gamertag to my Bungie.net profile? 1. Sign into http://xbox.com just as if you were signing into Bungie.net. 2. It should take you to Account Creation. Simply fill out the fields required and complete the sign up.

How do I link a pre-existing Xbox LIVE gamertag to my Bungie.net profile? 1. The gamertag you want to link to your Bungie.net profile must be recovered onto a Xbox 360 console. If the Xbox LIVE gamertag has not been migrated over to the 360 yet, please visit this page here for more information. If it has, simply enter the gamertag name and continue. Then, input the Windows Live ID login credentials. 2. Sign into Xbox LIVE with the gamertag you want to link to your Bungie.net profile. 3. From My Xbox, go to your profile. 4. Select Manage Account, Windows Live ID, and then Change Windows Live ID. 5. Say yes, you do have a WLID to swap. 6. Enter your current information and continue. 7. When it asks for the new email address and password, input the login credentials just as if you were signing into your Bungie.net profile.

How do I unlink my gamertag from my Bungie.net profile? If the same Windows Live ID is associated with both a Bungie.net profile and Xbox LIVE gamertag, the two become linked. To unlink your gamertag from your Bungie.net profile, you need to change the Windows Live ID associated to your gamertag. To do this, you must have another Windows Live ID to associate with your gamertag. To create a new Windows Live ID, go to http://live.com and click sign up. Once you have a WLID to swap, follow the instructions below. 1. Power on your Xbox 360 console. 2. Sign into Xbox LIVE with the gamertag linked to your Bungie.net profile. 3. From My Xbox, go to your profile. 4. Select Manage Account, Windows Live ID, and then Change Windows Live ID. 5. Select Yes, you do have a Windows Live ID to swap. 6. Enter the password for the current Windows Live ID just as if you were signing into your Bungie.net profile. 7. Select continue and then input the login credentials for the new Windows Live ID to finish.

How do I change the gamertag linked to my Bungie.net profile? In order to change the gamertag linked to your Bungie.net profile, you must unlink the current gamertag and then link the new gamertag. Your current setup probably looks like this. Bnet Profile --> WLID 1 <-- XBL Gamertag (Current) WLID 2 <-- XBL Gamertag (New) 1. You must recover the gamertag (currently linked to your Bungie.net profile) onto a Xbox 360 console. If the Xbox LIVE gamertag has not been migrated over to the 360 yet, please visit this page here for more information. If it has, simply enter the gamertag name and continue. Then, input the Windows Live ID login credentials just as if you were signing into your Bungie.net profile. 2. Now that you have recovered your gamertag, you need a third Windows Live ID. To create a new Windows Live ID, simply visit http://account.live.com and click sign up. You may also kill two birds with one stone by creating a Bungie.net profile, thus creating WLID 3. I would suggest choosing the display name of the gamertag you just recovered if available. If not, then choose something similar. 3. Sign into Xbox LIVE with the gamertag currently linked to your Bungie.net profile. From My Xbox, go to your profile. Select Manage Account, Windows Live ID, and then Change Windows Live ID. Say yes, you do have a WLID to swap. Enter your current information and continue. When it asks for the new email address and password, input the login credentials for WLID 3. At this point, you have unlinked the gamertag from your Bungie.net profile. 4. Now, sign into Xbox LIVE with the gamertag you want to link to your Bungie.net profile. From My Xbox, go to your profile. Select Manage Account, Windows Live ID, and then Change Windows Live ID. Say yes, you do have a WLID to swap. Enter your current information and continue. When it asks for the new email address and password, input the login credentials for WLID 1 (just as if you were signing into your Bungie.net profile). If you followed these instructions correctly, your new setup should look like this. Bnet Profile --> WLID 1 <-- XBL Gamertag (New) WLID 2 [Not Linked] WLID 3 <-- XBL Gamertag (Old)
Please visit this thread here for more Windows Live ID related FAQs. Thank you. [Edited on 10.12.2009 2:55 PM PDT by Qbix89]
