IMO There would be no better immersion than seeing/hearing other players in the distance.

I like this, but I don't think they would have to add fake gunfire, I'm pretty sure you are going to be hearing it a lot, naturally, lol a LOT of people will be playing this game

If you played BF3 or COD, during multiplayer you would hear random 3 shot burst or random burst fire. Even if you weren't near any combat it was still a reminder that there is a battle going on. Which is why I am inferring to random gun fire echoing past you. I'm not sure how seeing other fire teams running across a far off bridge would effect the frame rate or server load but that would be legit. I suppose if it was just random generated npc fire teams it would still do the trick.

I agree. People Ignore the Immersion that battlefield games offer.

It is the little things that people take for granted. The Last of Us was incredible for immersion, it was the first game in a long time that I actually started getting stressed out while playing.
