Simple question: What is your favorite moment in the Halo 4 campaign?
For me, it has to be the Didact's introduction. The good writing, good looks, and the awesome voice gave the Didact enormous potential. Definitely the best moment for me.
What about you guys?
And for the sake of it being Halo 4's first birthday, lets try to be somewhat positive for a change? :P
1 ReplyThe Star Fox part. Aside from that and the first mission nothing else was very memorable at all.
-
The ending credits.
Even though I did miss the traditional "thanks for playing our game and helping us takeover the world, Love BUNGIE" at the end.
-
3 RepliesI actually liked the elephant mission even though it completely copied that one GoW mission
-
The feeling of hope and overwhelmingness when the covenant ship attacks you in space on the Forward Unto Dawn. Amazing, but probably because this was my first time playing halo 4, after that my opinions on it weighed it down too much for me to enjoy some great moments in it. Sorry if this was too negative

1 ReplyEdited by Hipi07: 11/13/2013 12:52:21 AMThe entire mission of Requiem. This moment was just amazingly beautiful and shocking And this interior. It´s so goddamn beautiful. The way it mixes the sublime Forerunner architecture with trees growing around it and the rocks and sand. Amazing. And the entire bridge section. More of the same of the previous interior space but in the open with the giant Forerunner tower in the backround. As I said, the entire campaign mission of Requiem (which I already think is one of the best campaign missions in the franchise in every aspect) is absolutely amazing visually. 343 did an absolutely amazing job.

Edited by Xmark120: 11/13/2013 8:03:16 PMNothing stood out. Except for the ending where the altered ¨never forget¨ theme played.

2 RepliesMaster Chief, the only man willing and able to stop the Didact as you give chase in the Broadsword. Brought back the feel of being the only man possible for the job of saving the galaxy, something I think the series had lost after CE.
-
The Composer, everything else sucked. Except the first mission.
-
Halo 3's ending. Oh, you mean Halo 4's campaign? Oh. Ughhh. The credits.
-
The credits.
-
Best moment in Halo 4? Erm.... Erm...
-
The entire ending sequence
-
When Chief was on the Infinity, looking out over earth and Lasky tries to console him. It really helped hammer home Cortana's question from earlier about which one of them is the machine.
-
2 RepliesThe ending cinematic was one of the best endings I have ever seen in a game ever. It had so much emotion and power.
-
Cortana's booty/feet, and the cinematic where the Librarian first shows up. The entire campaign was freaking awesome.
-
Halo 4 was one of the best halo games ever made
-
The scene with chief or lasky. or.. "I....am ordering you....TO SURRENDER THAT AI!!!!!!!!!!" That part gave me chills yo
-
That moment where Cortana tells you to push a button, so you push a button.

31 RepliesHalo 4's campaign was executed horribly, and significantly more linear than any other Halo campaign made. The linearity is a result of 343's investment in graphics, sacrificing the massive skyboxes and outer bounds environments that made up previous Halo games. All that being said, the only good portion of the campaign I can think of is when I exited the wreckage of the Pillar of Autumn to find myself in the world known as Requiem. That was something I actually appreciated, but the satisfaction certainly didn't last long.

Walking through the wreckage of FuD and seeing what's beyond the cave.

10 RepliesMaybe it's just me but Halo 4 is possibly my least favorite campaign when I think about it.
-
16 RepliesI enjoyed the level on the Mammoth a lot
-
1 ReplyObviously the ending, but, aside from that, the end of Composer. The massacre at Ivanoff station and Chief and Cortana's ensuing conversation was genuinely sad and shocking, and it perfectly segued to the heroic opening of Midnight.

When I took that Halol 4 disc out of my Xbox for the last time...
