Why is Doctor Who so boring
Seriously the only good episodes were Tooth and Claw, and The Girl in the Fireplace.

I'm automatically put off from shows that have a ton of episodes, and I've seen some clips of different episodes and it looked pretty cheesy. But it does have a ton of fans, so there must be some redeeming quality to it.

Saw three episodes of the show and didn't like any of them. That sums up my entire Doctor Who experience. I like David Tennant though. Broadchurch was amazing.

21 RepliesEh I lost interest after the first or second run with Matt Smith, he's a good doctor but the story just got so ridiculous I gave up on it. It had been going downhill a bit ever since the Cybermen got spammed every god damn season and as for 'killing the daleks once and for all' about 3 times and each time they came back via some BS... Then the Weeping Angels, the first episode was freaking scary, one of the very few things that's ever had me terrified. Then they came back. and again. and again. and again. and again. Ok maybe a few less times than that but they got overdone completely. And the whole endless conspiracy crap with That irritating bitch riversong and amy and all the melody pond bollocks was the final straw. It's a shame but at least the Eccleston/Tennant & 1st season of Smith are still good.

Love the show myself. In fact I have some Who swag around the house. Have you seen the Empty Child or Blink episodes? Those are some of the best. Also The End of Time is a must see.

Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant did a fantastic job, Matt Smith was such an uninteresting guy. That, and the budget for episodes went down a lot I think

1 ReplyI don't like the "zany" approach the series has taken since 2005. It picked up again at the beginning of Moffat's run (Smith's Baker-esque reaction to the Ironsides in VotD is one of my favourite moments). But then it quickly degenerated into "HURR DURR TIMEY WIMEY ALON-SY CUSTARD" again. It's like the writers are so focused on appeasing the younger crowd and the tumblr guys.

2 RepliesI've only seen one episode but yeah I agree it seems pretty overrated and boring. The one I saw featured them being in this old church with these statues of angels that would move towards you when you weren't looking at them, that one was pretty cool in how they solved the problem and dealt with the things, but otherwise it looks really uninteresting. The trailer for the next season or whatever made me laugh at how dramatic they tried to make it.
