Seeing all these "New clan recruiting" posts makes me wonder what kind of system players really want.
A Guild setup where statistics and group missions are implemented in-game. Maybe every member of the Guild helps in their own way, to raise their Guild's in-game "ranking". Guild missions and global objectives could also be an incentive for teamwork and cooperative Guild strategy.
Or maybe players would like to take charge of the Guild planning and operations themselves, making it an entirely meta-game structure that isn't actually programmed into Destiny. Guilds would be organized mostly out of game and wouldn't have missions or objectives unless the players plan them themselves.
Guilds as a part of the game, or meta-game community groups?
