So I'm reading Bram Stoker's Dracula because it's nearly halloween

I can't seem to understand how and why vlad tepes became a vampire. Did I miss something? Anyone else read this book?

  • Umm, look up the beginning of Hellsing ep 9. If hellsing was meant to be a sequal to dracula, it should be valid.

Eh I had to read it for English and it felt very... poorly written. The plot was kind of poor and disjointed and the characters were just... dull. I mean, for source material it's great. Vampires are pretty awesome (Not the twilight bollocks) but the book and the BBC adaptation *Shudders* now that is a real horror film.

The whole concept of Vlad the Impaler being Dracula wasn't given much detail in the story from what I remember, and it's even suggested that this was a false claim in the first place.
