Why remake the games? Honestly, remaking them would be stupid other than nostalgia. Pokemon games are very similar, and each new one adds a few new things to previous games. Remaking an old game in the new engine or in the style of X and Y would be a money grab and that's it. There would be less pokemon, less to do, it would be nostalgia based completely. I'd much prefer a new game with more ideas than a remake with the same ideas.
