No, the beta will be out in the first months of 2014, then the entire game will come out in spring.

Okay let's say the Beta becomes available to the public in late January early February. Public Betas for FPS games last about two weeks, but destiny isn't just a shooter it has some "MMORPGish" aspects to it and MMO public betas last about a month sometimes even longer. A rough estimate for a public destiny beta will probably be around the one month mark meaning it will end in mid March or so. Once the public beta ends Bungie will clean out the bugs and glitches and make some adjustment based on the feedback from the public but will continue to beta test those changes themselves. Now the time it takes them finish Beta testing and put the final polish on depends on if they decide to recode fast or recode well, if they recode fast the game will go gold after a month or so after the beta closes, if they recode well and take their time the game will go gold two to three months or so after the Public Beta closes. Bungie will recode well not fast, meaning the game would go Gold in late May early June. Once the Game goes Gold and they will start manufacturing the game and work on shipping it out. This take about a month or so to accomplish putting the release date in July if they release a Public Beta in January or February. For comparison Reach's Beta was released to the public May 3rd lasted to the 20th Reach went gold in early August and was released in September 14th 117 days after the Beta closed.

Short answer: No Long answer: only if they start Beta testing in early 2014 which isn't likely because even now they are still alpha testing.

The Beta and the Game will come out in 2014. I went and found a FAQ on the Beta and Bungie said it will begin in Early 2014. On their moon ViDoc the said "Become Legend Spring 2014". Now I highly doubt the game would be release so shortly after a beta, so I think the beta will be in early Spring which could put the release in July or August. If anything I think Destiny could go Gold on Bungie Day.
