What if the hive are a actual race ? They have Been on the moon for a long time. Before humanities golden age. Growing stronger. They are the dark army.

It's seems the hive have factions. With in there race. Going from. Red, blue and white.

I disagree. Factors indicate a regimental split but not a factional one... The hellmouth hive seem to be a single echelon of a far larger force across a variety of locations.

True. But there are hive with red and hive with white. If you watch destiny over watch break.down on the moon you will see hive thrall heads glowing but the thrall. With the red marks did not glow.
