Imagine a PvP multi-player gametype, that not only relies on how many kills you get, but also on how many times you die. It's not just going for the kills, but it's also protecting yourself from dying. If you get a kill, you get +1 point. If you die, you get -1 point.
Also, maybe you could add how many lives you start with. Say you start with 5 lives, and the game keeps going on until there is only one survivor. But it may not always be the survivor who wins. For example, the survivor may have gotten 2 kills, and died 4 times. But the person who wins, died 5 times, but got 9 kills.
A gametype like this would provide intense combat, because you have a set amount of lives. Take Super Smash Bros. for example. Instead of the timed limit to get as many kills as possible, there is also the survival mode. Where you keep fighting until there is only one survivor. With the execption of the K/D ratio point system.
This would make for some very interesting gameplay, and to me this sounds very fun.
Would you like to see a gametype like this in Destiny?

Great idea! But I think this game mode would encourage campers.

The way I see it, the more game types the better. I'd be stoked to see this is game. Kinda like a smash bros type scoring system.

This could also work with teams, so you have to work together as a team to not die.

3 RepliesAre we saying PvP or against the fallen or some other enemy? PvP I think would be fun, but otherwise your just describing firefight from odst.

3 Repliesbut doesn't that make the enemies stale?
