Should have left the Chief in half of the Dawn and made Halol 4 with some of the Spartans trapped in Onyx if they were going to pull this kind of bullshit with the Halo story.

If he is to die it should be on earth, on a deckchair over looking the sun set. Then all we here is his his visor go up and then his final breath, then it breakers into credits.
-
6 RepliesI fear his death because I fear 343i would try to replace him with Palmer.
-
2 RepliesIf we're being srs here, then yes but it should be in a mysterious way so we never know how he ends up, or like Kurt's death in The Ghosts of Onyx.
-
He should, because he's probably like 250 years old when Microsoft is done milking the series.
-
10 RepliesAs far as I'm concerned, Chief is still in his cryo tube and the events of this new trilogy are simply him having whacky dreams in cryosleep. #TheFightWasFinishedInHalo3
-
No he shouldn't die because the player is supposed to be masterchief. If they do end up killing him it better be where they can recover and then bury his body properly XD
-
Edited by Apotheosis: 10/7/2013 12:08:48 AMI'd actually like to see him get to retire. I think he's something like 46 years old as of the events of H3.
-
3 RepliesHe should have died in 3.
-
He should die while trying to tie his non-existent shoelaces.
-
He's going to die of old age soon anyway. Halo 7 will be master chief trying to beat elites at shuffleboard on his Caribbean cruise.
-
2 RepliesKilling him wouldn't end the Halo franchise, only disappoint fans and drive hype. His death wouldn't be surprising, it would be clichéd and it would paint a horrid picture. Kidnapped at a young age and robbed of his life John was indoctrinated as a soldier and his body was mutilated in order to make him more lethal, he fought his entire life seeing the few close friends he had die in front of him, then he fought some more and died. Not a great biography is it?
-
No, I feel that it'd be way too cliché'd. I'm tired of playing video games and then the main character dies. Really pisses me off and gets old
-
3 RepliesI don't even care at this point. The entire story has been butchered to the point that nothing matters to me anymore.
-
Yes. But Microsoft would never allow 343 to do it, I'm guessing. They'll always need to keep him alive so that they can pump out more Halos whenever they need to. He is the Xbox mascot, after all.
-
No...but he needs to be hurt both physically and psychologicaly. That would be kinda neat
-
Make it a dramatic dark flipping sad ending. Like chief gets attacked by something cortana shoots at him and he'll be really injured he'll say something depressing and kill cortana he runs out of their but loses the ability to do anything he's in a coma when he dreams of her and he then passes away
-
Maybe not killed, but left with an uncertainty. Something new for him, once he's done with whatever hurdles he has yet to go through.
-
Yes that would be a great ending
-
1 ReplyHuh? He died in Halo 3, silly!
-
1 ReplyThey are going to milk him forever.
-
yes, but pull a ME3 and have a short breathing scene at the end
-
WHY THE -blam!- IS THIS IN #GAMING? THIS SHOULD BE IN #OFFTOPIC MODS ARE SHIT
-
the last Halo
Well, aren't you optimistic?
-
They simply should have left the story alone at the end of halo 3 but I wouldn't mind I would've some prequels like halo reach and halo wars to go through the entire war from first contact to blowing up the ark would be cool.
