Anyone who says that they're mature for their age is the opposite.
I'm tired of hearing teenagers say this. "Oh I'm 12, but I'm mature for my age, so don't worry!" No, you aren't. You can't judge your own maturity. You simply can't. Granted, this is coming from a 16 year old, but I'm not claiming superiority from maturity. So fuck off with your immature bullshit.

I am pretty sure maturity is based on how many members of your team you sleep with in dragon age origins. What I'm not sure about is if it makes you more mature to bang every last one of them or none of them... I'm including the goat.

4 Repliesthe problem is that people associate maturity with age more than upbringing, the fact that people say oh im only 12 but im mature is one of the first signs of them being immature and fishing for praise or approval. i personally believe maturity can be acquired at any age and refined by time and experience. that being said the mature thing for us all is to just ignore or teach immature people in the first place

5 RepliesWho, if not oneself, can judge maturity? As far as I am aware their is no prescript that states what maturity is so it is perfectly reasonable for people to claim they are mature. What is the difference between me believing I am mature and someone else telling me they believe I am? The only difference supports self declared maturity, as at least you are aware of your own thought process' that led you to the conclusion - that you are mature.

2 RepliesWell, if you can't gauge your own maturity, then I can tell you that this post certainly shows how mature you are. I'd say you aren't very mature for your age. But that doesn't seem very fair, does it? The only thing I know about you is your username and your post here. So, I don't know you or how mature you are. I just can't know. It's easy to judge others maturity based on what you know of them, but unfair if you don't know enough. Saying someone is immature for thinking they're "mature for their age" is, well, ignorant if you ask me. Seems too convenient.

2 RepliesInteresting. Growing up I always had the same opinion. It's bull when people do that. It's mostly girls making excuses to date older guys. Not sure why this is here in the destiny forum... I'm 25 now and I can tell you it gets better.

Mature it seems is pretending to be an adult but they have no idea what its like to work a job you do not want to be at. Pay Taxes or even act like people while playing a game. Sad really. Not all do but most teens seem to not want to take responsibility. Sad thing is when others get older they do the same things falling into those blame others patters or its not me. Its really sad when you see this when they hit 40 yet learned that acting out this way is some how cool as is being a real life troll. Destiny i just hope some act Civil to play the game even have fun no matter what age you are.
