Exotic Guns are the new Skulls
The title is a statement but really, I mean it as a question.
I wonder if exotic guns are found or earned. Or perhaps a bit of both.
(maybe like getting a datapad from the active-camo Bob on Reach).

If you have read anything they been saying you know they will be earned. They will be rare or uncommon drops from enemy drops ranging from the every day enemy to big raid bosses. Or a reward from a long and hidden quest chain.

I don't know, perhaps exotic weapons will work like the skulls or the datapads, but I really hope they also have skulls and datapads. Those things were great.

1 ReplySo far it seems like its randomly obtained from a loot drop. But perhaps it is till in a way earned by defeating bosses. In other words, maybe certain enemies have higher chances of scoring better drops. I'd say more than likely since that's how it is in most RPGs and such. I'm sure there will be other fun little collects led as well though. There is an inventory menu.

The world is "alive" so maybe certain enemies or exotic weapons only appear at certain times and places. e.g: in a desert at midnight; on the coast at dawn; etc
