You do realize most gun owners plan to never shoot anyone? I know that the chances of being mugged or abducted or whatever are low* but some people want to be prepared god forbid anything does happen. *depeding on where you are.

But take note: there is a chance that you will get mugged in any country or city in the world, but it is just Americans who feel the need to carry around protection. Now don't take this the wrong way but it seems to me that Americans live in fear of just about every remote threat possible.

People in America don't live in fear, we want to be able to protect ourselves from anything that might happen. Key words: MIGHT HAPPEN. Meaning we don't expect to get mugged or kidnapped, but want to be prepared JUST IN CASE. In Europe, it is acceptable to let criminals commit crimes, in America, we like to stop criminals from doing it.

But its not necessary to have a gun. I have been approached by chavs in London and they wanted me to give them my watch. I told them to -blam!- off and I kept walking and that was the end of it. Guns don't solve problems and if you think they do you're deluded.
