Kojima responds to the hate on Quiet's design
For those who are unaware, a few people (like the lead designer of 343i) called out Quiet's design (including the guy who sexualised Cortana as much as possible) to be sexual. Kojima responded.

Anyway, I don't even understand why people are making a big deal about this, overly sexualized characters are nothing new with games made by Japanese devs, it's so common that it should be expected. If you don't like that too bad, go play something else. I can't what to hear what that arrogant prick Tameem Antoniades has to say about this...

Again this is a guy who sexed up Cortana AND is complaining about something that's been in games forever. If you ask me the only "man baby" I see is him.

15 RepliesThe only real issue I have is that he explicitly stated that he created her to be erotic and sexy; something about figures and cosplay. Right? That's the only reason why I had a problem with it. If I read wrong then fine, but I'm pretty sure that's what was said.

I'm sure there's a story-based reason for her appearance, but Kojima felt the cosplaying reason was important enough to announce to the world.

8 RepliesThere's still the issue that his spoken intention was for her to be sexy, something not even Cortana and Bungie can be accused of directly, because there is a fundamental difference between someone being sexy, and someone being sexualized. Thus far Quiet has been only shown to be sexualized, in Kojima's comments as I mentioned already, and while I'm sure this isn't the whole story, people can only go off of what they know and right now all anyone knows is that she's erotic and sexy.
