Halo Reach MA37 vs Halo 4 MA5D Assault Rifle.

The MA5D looks good, sounds good, has good range, and has more damage than the BB guns of past games.

MA5D from Halo 4. The gun looks smooth, and packs a punch. It feels forceful and aggressive. It sounds powerful, unlike the typewriter noises in past games.

Initially, Halo 4's looked weird. Especially when we first saw it at the E3 Campaign demo. But it grew on me. I really like it now.

I'd pick the MA37 since its technically the base MA5. Plus I always liked the more rag-tag stripped down look of it over the other assault rifles. Plus give the game a damage boost and I'd say the gun is more effective.

I'd pick the MA37 over the MA5D. However, I still prefer the MA5C from Halo 3.

In terms of damage, MA5D. Everything else, MA37. It looks cool, has great sound design, and can be pretty accurate if burst-fired.

MA5D is the only instance where the br -blam!- didn't kill it and it became useful in H4, so it wins.

While the modularity of the MA37 was a nice addition, the classic look of the MA5D wins out. Plus, you can't beat the .50 cal sound effects.

Halo 4 no contest. The one in that abominable game was just stupid and not needed at all in the Halo universe.

Gotta go with halo 4's. like the design, the utility, and the camos. Even if halo 4 is a piece of crap.

9 RepliesHaha I see what u did there. A forum on the assualt rifle, well done. Hope u can drop by on my Shotgun related forum. Now, my favorable vote goes to the MA37 becuase the design on the gun looks the most modern out of all the halo assault rifles. It looks like a bullpup rifle that be constructed today unlike MA5D. The MA5D I have to admit, was very, VERY, well made. Like it's previous variant (halo 3 MA5C) it carries the same design but with a much better, ugraded appearance. Both MA37 and MA5D carry powerful damage with a good, moderate range. So I will rate: MA37: 10 MA5D: 8.9

Damage-wise, anything is better than the MA37. It was unnecessarily weak, unlike the MA5D. As for design, I still prefer the MA5D's look. It's so much sleeker than the MA37.

The Halo 4 one is better, and doesn't look like a shitstain. So that one. Also sounds beefier.

Halo 4 MA5D Sound is top and real like. Design is sexy as ever. And the weapon is effective unlike it's Halo 3 counterpart.
