We have perpetual motion machines

So why don't we have perpetual power? Maybe a silly question, but I'm definitely silly.

No we do not, energy will always be lost somehow. Plus, even if we did have perpetual motion machines we would not be able to develop perpetual power. Assuming one would just be a physical system in which kinetic energy is not lost to the surroundings, if we tried to use it to produce energy we would take energy from the system causing it to stop eventually.
