First off Dynamic, I don't know what other term to use except for class based, but it'll do. Dynamic are games such as Halo: Reach, Halo 4, Call of Duty, or Battlefield.
Secondly, we have Arena-style games, this is like Quake, Halo 1, 2, and 3, or Unreal.
I've got to go with the Arena shooters, I like being set on the same ground as everyone else and your true skill (or rush to the weapons) will show.

How on earth is Call of Duty a Dynamic shooter? You run around in an oversized skinner box where SMG=A pellet.
-
Arena or you're a filthy casual poo face.
-
Arena. Seriously. The multiplayer is dying out cause everyone wants progressive multiplayer for unlocks. I miss Arena shooters where everyone is the same, pickup weapon gameplay, and powerups. Buuuuuut noooooo...everyone now has to follow the trend of class-based/loadout gameplay. Such a shame...

Simple really, which games make me rage and want to break something after one match. I cant stand "modern" shooters, give me arena any day.
-
I wouldn't really say Halo was ever a true arena game. "Normal" weapons, regenerative health, lower movement acceleration, etc. lean it more towards the modern style of shooter. The fact that the series was able to almost seamlessly transition into a fully modern style game with the addition of sprint and loadouts is strong evidence of this.

Reach was not a dynamic game.

ARENA! CAPS LOCK! I DON'T CARE! ALTHOUGH I LIEK DYNAMIC THOUGH BUT ARENA IS BETTER. Oh caps lock finally turned off. Anyway, I hope Halo 5 is an Arena shooter not a COD rip-off. I hope it has a similar art style to Halo 2/3 (mostly 3) too...
