Most obtainable weapons in the Zombie Apocalypse
Since I live in Scotland and the town where I live has gun store, I would have access to shotguns, snipers, air pistols and varied melee weapons.

I would have to custom make some melee weapons until I find something better. Ideally I'd want a gun like one they made on Sons of Guns on the zombie special. They made a bullpup .22 rifle out of a p90 I believe. Obviously .22 is smaller and more abundant ammo, so you can carry more chances to save your life then you could with a larger round. Also the bullpup design shortens the gun, making maneuvering in and out of abandon urban buildings easier, while not giving up on accuracy.

10 RepliesMy fathers gun safe has an AR-15, a sig 9mm, a sig 45, a glock 9mm, a Remington double barrel shotgun, Benelli m4 shotgun, and an M27 iar. Across the street my uncle has a WW2 soviet issue pistol, G3 dmr, and a handful of other guns that I have no idea what they are. Both have stockpiles of ammo (they're the crazy people who think there will be a second revolution) I'd most likely pay them a visit, they're only about an hour away.

1 ReplyThis is seriously what you are going to be looking at in terms of firearms in America. A shit load of ruger 10/22s which will probably do the best overall in terms of zombie killing. A little 36 grain hollowpoint .22 will split a skull, especially a skull with heavy necrosis. .22 comes in bulk packs so ammo won't be an issue. There will also be a shit load of mil-surp rifles. Enfield No.1s, Mausers, Mosins, SKSs. Though Mosins will be the most plentiful and have the most plentiful ammo. For your semi-auto rifle needs there will be a tonne of .223/5.56 around so running an AR would seem smart. Same with 7.62x39 and 5.45x39. So AK-47s and AK-74s would make sense too. If you need an EBR you can't go wrong with an M1A if you can find it in .308 and not 7.62x51. a .308 rifle will run both .308 and 7.62x51. Ammo is fairly common as well. Though less than .223/5.56 and the russian ammo. As for side arm, 9mm or .45 would be a good choice. I bet you there will be a lot of 1911s to be had if the shit hits the fan. Glocks as well. Melee, anything you can use.

All guns will be gone in a blink of an eye. Go for a bow, swords or long handles weapons. You want to be silent in a zombie apocalypse.

Anything you could find in anyone's garage. Axes, pickaxes, shovels, spades, baseball bats, saws, chainsaws, metal pipes, tire irons, wooden boards, hammers, sledgehammers, and others. That's not even mentioning all the duct tape and nails and screws you could attach to these objects to make them even deadlier. Did I also mention that firearms are quite accessible? There's an average of 89 firearms for every 100 residents in the U.S.

And we can't forget about the cleaning supplies! Think of all the potential for FIRE. I live in a province in Canada with only a million people in it and happen to live in a small town of 800 in the middle of nowhere. The vast majority of the town consists of elderly people. Things look good.

My truck could be an effective weapon. If roads were overcroweded I could easy offroad on lawns. I have a few big -blam!- off knives close to me very often. One in my bag and one in the car. If I could get myself to my regiment, I'd get myself issued my rifle... Or a machine gun if that's what they needed :D

3 RepliesIn truth , if this type of outbreak happened . Most people would freak out , honestly mental preparation is needed . I have made various bug out plans . Really if you don't have quick access to a weapon your done , if you don't have a secured area your done , if you don't have water / food , your done . Basically plan for things , in this current world economy I plan to see things get nasty so I have a fall back plan with multiple groups of friends . I just hope I never have to use my training for anything in my homeland .
