Should I get Destiny for the Xbox 360 or the Xbox One? (if I get the Xbox one console)
Will Destiny have as strong as a legacy as Halo?

Legacy yes. And if you did get an Xbox one then get Destiny for it. The internal video capture would be great for it. This way you wouldn't have to buy a capture card for your 360

Let's not forget that Destiny is not coming out until next year, which means that you do not have to get the xb1 right away.

Ive kind of just stopped thinking about this until the reviews for the new consoles are out. And bungie stated the difference from current to next gen are purely cosmetic, and won't detract from gameplay.

Seems like bungie is implying that they're going to try to provide support and updates for destiny for years (if that vidoc is anything to go by), but xbox 360 might not be supported for as long. Go for xbox one if you can.
