Two things. 1. Ninjas are supposedly held at a higher level of honor and must preserve that honor. 2. Recon might actually want to ban Camnator but can't. However, Recon does have to authority to ban himself.

Recon held himself to his own standards as a moderator would another member who violated the conduct rules. If anything the man gained even more respect. Everyone does dumb things from time to time, it's the actions of responsibility taken that define you after the fact.

1 ReplyPretty simple, really. This community insists on putting moderators on a pedestal so tall, people flock at any chance to knock them from it. We as a community are incapable of understanding that mods are just people trying to enjoy their free time just like the rest of us. And because mods are not our equals, we nitpick even the slightest of rule-bending in an attempt to "beat" the "great and powerful ninjas". Other communities don't seem to do this. I'll never understand why this one does.
