So I was looking at all the things you could get free with gold (next to nothing) and I noticed that Xbox Music is $10/mo. TEN FU CKING DOLLARS TO LISTEN TO MUSIC. Like are you serious?
Pathetic.

1 ReplyIt's Microsoft. Haven't you figured that out yet. They don't give a fuck about their consumers. Just their wallets.

Edited by Doctor Orange: 4/8/2014 6:42:56 PMIf you don't want it don't buy it. If you like to be able to listen to different music a lot and you have a windows phone it's probably worth it. If not, it isn't. Why do people get mad at companies for offering services in exchange for money? That's what business is... It's not like they're making you pay for it to play Xbox Live or something.
-
Indeed
-
4 RepliesBecause that's the point of a business, to make money.
-
Also; ROYALTY MONEY. That cool new band you heard of that just got the opportunity to put their music on a subscription based platform for other people to listen to which in turn helps expand their brand? Yeah, they need to eat too buddy.
-
Why would you even think about using Xbox music in the first place? You didn't subscribe for it, so technically they're not nickel-and-diming you either.
-
I honestly think that sony offers the better online service, though I've never used PS plus myself
-
Because you're stupid enough to not rip the music to your Harddrive, or share the music on your computer via the local network and stream it from there to your xbox?
-
It's a $100 for a year of Xbox Music and you still have to pay $60 for Xbox Live Gold.
-
$ ) $

Edited by Enlightened One: 4/6/2014 7:02:46 AMHopefully the new CEO for the Xbox division will change this? I have a topic in the Angry Army Community that lists some things that would put QUALITY content into Xbox Live that should be free with GOLD
-
idiotsbuyCOD? Seriously? Lol.
-
I have Youtube and Pandora. I don't need Xbox Music.
-
2 RepliesWell, it's understandable that the Music service needs its own subscription. Question is do you need Gold to then access your music subscription? Because that would be some bullshit.
-
Netflix is cheaper
-
Just hook your ipod in to your speakers or something. I have mine in a dock, or headphones that I put under my turtle beach headphones (then I can hear the game, my music, and still chat to my friends at the same time) ... so much simpler.
-
2 RepliesWhy are you using Microsoft's streaming music service anyway? I use my laptop to stream around 8 or so Goth radio stations. That way I get the music I want while still playing my games. And it's completely free. Why pay for iTunes or any other music service when there's the internet?
-
2 RepliesXbox Live gold is only worth paying for if you want to play online, otherwise your being ripped off
-
4 RepliesEdited by Mad Max: 3/10/2014 3:16:10 AM
Xbox Music is $10/mo
As opposed to Spotify that is $10/mo...or Google Play Music All Access that is $10/mo, or Rdio that is $10/mo, or Rhapsody that is $10/mo...
-
2 RepliesYea that is bullshit, we already pay a monthly fee for live and they want more for a sevrice that should be free. What a joke.
-
It's for any dong you want though so actually is a great deal if you know how much music costs...only bad thing about it is the Snap feature
-
Edited by Votable: 3/10/2014 2:59:24 AMWhy are people still replying to this...he hasn't been active since 8/8/13...and this was necro bumped as well..
-
Just burn a CD onto your Xbox
-
Well, you're paying $10 a month to listen to any song you want at any time. CD's and albums on iTunes cost $10-$20 for 10-15 songs. Yeah, Microsoft is totally ripping you off.
-
Then don't get Xbox Music. Almost nobody has it, anyway.
