What if Bungie purposely made Reach suck?
So, Bungie's mindset when creating Halo Reach:
"so, we no longer like making Halo, the best AAA fps on the market, and we've got this idea for a game that's going to blow people away. Seeing as this next game, Halo Reach, will be our last Halo, lets set it on the [i]right[/i] path."
So, the Beta for Reach was great. To make it look like Halo is getting better.
But then they -blam!- us over with the final version, with load outs and bloom, with sprint too.
They set Halo on the path that it couldn't recover from, making the primary position for the best AAA game, open (although cod is currently renting that position.)
the gaming industry is waiting for the true owners of that title to return. They will return with Destiny.
How will Destiny remove CoD from that position? Activision.
Activision publishes both Bungie games and CoD games.
Activision, I'm sure, could pull some strings to make CoD suck even more (which it is currently doing) so that Destiny looks even more bad ass than it is.
It all makes sense now.
Bungie makes Reach suck ->343 takes the crappy, un-halo parts of reach and puts them in Halo 4, making it suck more -> making CoD the primary AAA fps on the market
Bungie signs with Activision, who also publishes CoD -> CoD declines in quality at an annual rate -> fast forward to release of Destiny -> no fps competes with Destiny
Bravo, Bungie. Didn't think I would notice, huh?

Halo Reach was a goodbye game,they answered almost everyone's ideas and got Reach.I think CoD sucks anyway do you can't do anything to make it better only Treyarch can do that,

1 ReplyWhy would they spend that much time intentionally making a shitty game? Why would they intentionally risk alienating their fanbase like that? While I'm at it, why would they intentionally make something that won't sell well? I'm gonna stick with the "they were rushing because Microsoft was rushing them" theory.

I think Reach was a great game, no matter what anyone says. The only thing that wasn't great about it was that the storyline did mess with canon a bit. Armour abilities aren't as good as equipment from H3, no, but I still had my fun with it.

12 RepliesWhy would you think that Bungie would spend 3 years to make a game they knew was bad? Reach was a masterpiece and the only reason people hated it was because it was different. Take a BR away and all hell breaks loose.

3 RepliesDestiny won't and can't overtake CoD, as much as you guys would like to think. It'll become the new Elder Scrolls/Mass Effect, but CoD will remain in first. It's up to another FPS to take it down.
