So I finally bought Mass Effect 3 after renting it a year ago and I got to the part where I am on the Quarian homeworld. I was glad to see Legion back and helped the Geth do their thing. Now fast forward after you kill the reaper, I decide to let Legion upload the code but of course Tali has her doubts and what not. But I don't care and She tells the fleet to stop firing because the Geth are free, but that moron of an Admiral wouldn't listen. So they all got destroyed and Legion dies. At this point I am dumbfounded that the Legion dies so quick. So now I am sad because I really liked him. As all this is happening you can see the debris from the battle in space and Tali is looking up at all of it.
Then the stupid bitch takes it upon herself to commit suicide I stood up from the chair and literally yelled What the -blam!-?! Like are you serious? Danm this all could of been avoided if the Quarians didn't try to destroy something that wasn't hostile to them in the first place. I think its there fault IMO. But I still don't know what to do, I stopped playing because things happened too fast. Sorry for wall of text. Ty if you read all of it.
TL:DR Tali and Legion both died during the Rannoch mission and I don't know what happend or what to do.

1 ReplyWell the whole Quarian VS Geth Electric Boogaloo 2 shit basically was this -Quarians are running out of supplies, this was told in one of the books -Quarians knew that the Reapers were arriving -So it was get blasted to death by a lone Reaper or try to take back homeworld -Quarian VS Geth Electric Boogaloo 2 starts -Legion helps shepard save the world and shit -You save Geth -Tali becomes all depressed and kills self -Congrats you have a Geth army at your will
-
2 RepliesWow you -blam!-ed up. Haha. Did you import a ME2 save? Was Tali found not guilty and wasn't exiledin ME32? Was Legion loyal too?
-
Edited by Psy: 7/23/2013 11:32:55 PMI was a bit fed up, all the Quarians just yelled the Mass effect version of 'Murika and charged the Geth. I said screw it, and let the Geth wipe them out for being so arrogant/hostile to the perfection of machines :D Either way it doesn't matter because everything explodes at the end.
This post should be taken incredibly seriously btw.
That is literally the worst way that mission can go.
-
Only played me3 once, it was done perfectly in paragon to finish a perfect paragon trilogy, the geth survived, the quarians survived, idk what happened to legion
i think he integrated with the geth framework or something
I do miss legion, awesome shep fanboy

Commander Shepard didn't screw the Geth. The Quarians didn't screw the Geth. The Geth screwed the Geth.

Edited by Kafuu Chino: 7/23/2013 10:21:13 PMYou probably did not have enough reputation and/or "points" to get the co-existence ending to the Rannoch mission.
There are factors which seem to be purely pass/fail; missing even one of them flunks the Reputation check: -Shepard must have at least four bars of Reputation. -Tali and Legion must both be present, which requires an imported save from Mass Effect 2. If no save was imported, Tali will have been exiled and will not be able to support Shepard with an Admiral's authority, while Legion will not appear at all. -The mission Rannoch: Geth Fighter Squadrons must be completed. Additionally, there are other factors which build up Shepard's trustworthiness to both parties; if Shepard has not done enough of them, the Commander will not have the groundswell of goodwill needed to moderate a cease-fire. According to the official Prima Games guide, each factor has a certain "point" value, and at least 5 "points" are necessary for the cease-fire to occur. These factors are: - (+2 points) Destroying the heretic geth in Legion: A House Divided. In shipboard conversation, you can ask Legion about the repercussions of your decision, and it will mention that the absence of the Heretics made the consensus to join the "Old Machines" more difficult to achieve. Geth forces are also considerably weakened without the aid of the Heretics, giving the Migrant Fleet an edge in the battle and reducing the quarians' overall casualties. - (+2 points) Preventing Tali's exile in Tali: Treason without presenting evidence of Admiral Rael'Zorah's experiments on the geth. While it's possible to present the evidence and still be able to broker peace, it adds its own problem in that it makes Tali far less likely to survive the attack on the Collector Base. - (+1 point) Brokering a peace in the Tali/Legion loyalty argument. If the player did not have sufficient Paragon/Renegade points at that time, loyalty of either Tali or Legion would have been lost. In that case -- even if loyalty had been regained later -- this "point" will not count towards the five needed to pass the Reputation check (and broker the ceasefire). - (+1 point) Completing Rannoch: Admiral Koris. - (+1 point) Saving Admiral Koris during Rannoch: Admiral Koris.
-
haha you SUCK!
-
Choices in Mass Effect 2 and 3 that are related to Quarians/Geth have "points." You need a certain amount of "points" to make peace and you need high paragon/renegade to make peace. Unless you want to replay the series, just finish Mass Effect 3 with only Geth support. Look up the requirements for Quarian/Geth peace.

Edited by Inyaccurate: 7/23/2013 9:37:51 PMSounds like you didn't have enough Renegade/Paragon points to save them both. If it makes you feel better, Legion would have died either way. There's no way to save him, unfortunately.
-
Anything can happen. It's an RPG. What happened to you didn't happen to me. Your choices -blam!-ed you up
-
You didn't romance Garrus.
-
I managed to save both and they co-operated. I don't know what I would have done had Legion died, probably gone into depression. Also, being a pure renegade in that scene is too damn hardcore evil. I could barely stand what I was watching.
-
It's been a while since I finished them all, but I have so many feels for all of the characters in Mass Effect. Except I'm pretty sure Miranda pissed me the -blam!- off. She was a bitch. Other than that they were all pretty cool. Especially Legion. He was one of my favorites. When Legion died I wanted to hurt someone.
-
As you already know, you messed up on ME 2. I too messed up on my first play through. I killed Wrex and it regretted it all the way through ME 2 and ME 3. Now I'm going through my second play through with Wrex alive.

3 RepliesWhy are you complaining? You just witnessed one of the few great parts of a pile of sh1t. And if you think this is bad, wait a few hours and... well...
-
I had them all live :D
-
2 RepliesThat's real life for you.
-
2 RepliesTali is expendable though.
-
1 ReplyNo one has to die, you messed up.
-
3 RepliesSaving the quarians and the geth is dependent on a points system based on your actions in ME2 and 3 leading up to that scene, you need a total of 5 points to save them both. - Rewrote the Heretics (0 points) - Destroyed the Heretics (+2 points) - Tali is NOT exiled (+2 points) - Tali has been exiled/did not do the Loyalty Mission (0 points) - Resolved Legion/Tali conflict either using the Paragon or Renegade options (+1 point) - N7 Mission: Saved Admiral Zaal'Koris vas Kwib Kwib on Rannoch (+1 point) - N7 Mission: Destroy Geth Squadron on Rannoch (+1 point) - Completed Legion's Mission in ME3 (or no peace) You also need to have filled up 4 bars of your reputation.
-
5 RepliesIt's called an autosave, use it.
-
13 RepliesLooks like you suck at the game. You didn't have enough reputation points/didn't build enough trust with the fleet to save both the quarians and the geth. Also, Legion or his VI copy die no matter what, because it's their code that's used to finalize the evolution of the geth to true AI status. Either way I can't believe you chose the shitty geth over the quarians. You killed 17 million people, including women and children. Tali and Kal'Reegar are ashamed of you.
-
And, it also looks like you just rushed through the game. You didn't have enough reputation/paragon points.

3 RepliesEdited by TheSpiderChief: 7/23/2013 2:31:03 PM
Legion dies either way.
For Tali'Zorah to survive and the Quarians to co-operate with the Geth you have to have high Paragon. Like, 3/4's high. A Paragon option will appear after telling Legion to upload the code. Shepard will rally the fleet with Tali'Zorah and Admiral Koris (if you saved him) backing him. Admiral Gerrel will then back down.
