Does the fact that we share DNA with all other organisms help? I mean we share 50% of our DNA with our banana, which proves we all came from an ancestor.

That's good to know, but it won't be much use in this case. Because God could have just theoretically wrote "DNA code", and then used that "code" to make each living creature separately, copy and pasting parts etc. So it wouldn't prove the point I need. I hope I explained why well enough.

It's simple. Slap him and say God and Evolution can co-exist. Just that Creationism is dumb for the simple reason that there's no evidence to support it at all

In a way nicer way I said something similar to that, but he made the point that much of the evidence for creationism wouldn't even be given a chance. He said even if the science was done well, that most scientific journals choose what they publish, and that they try to minimize things that would support creationism.

That's the thing, until this point neither of us have been working with clear cut evidence. Also, the debate between us lasted several hours, and it's supposed to be over now... (If I hit a good source of evidence I'll bookmark it for sure, but I need people to explain their link in a post so I can quickly determine how good the link is)

You'd be better off comparing the skeletons of all primates and the species previous to homo sapien.
