What movie (which usually contains Sci Fi elements) do you think is most likely to be our future?
For me probably WALL-E. The rate of consumerism and obesity in modern society is astounding.

Whatever this is from.

Jesus, you guys need to quit with the cynicism and self-hate. I think humanity will be just fine and work out our problems as we always have.
-
I personally thought of Kung Pow. The way they portray the average Canadian American makes me realize that the Zebras may be causing the Penguins to die off and soon go extinct. That is if the asteroid from the end of the movie does not wipe out humanity from Earth causing us to retreat to the classified -godwinslaw!- base on Mars.

Something we haven't seen yet, because our art is either cynically bitter towards our own species, or too optimistic.
-
Avatar. Because Humans are pricks.
-
Damn, you guys are pessimists. OT: I'd say Star Trek, but with a longer timeline.
-
District 9
-
Idiocracy and Wall-E mixed togeather.

5 RepliesGojira. Actually scratch that. It's most likely to be our present. As in it's certain to be our present. You know why?
Because I'm still Godzilla
-
Lol because we will be able to COMFORTABLY fit 7-8 billion obese people onto one ship.

2 RepliesPlanet of the Apes

Call me a pessimist, but Elysium probably hit closer to what I envision the most likely version of the future to be than anything I've seen in a long time.
-
Blade Runner...
-
Alien
-
Madagascar
-
Probably I Robot.

Planet of the Apes. We will mostly die out by blowing it all up like maniacs and then our ape brethren will take over and enslave us and then Charleston Heston will come and lead us to a new era of humans being fat again.
