Anyone else facepalm when a guy asks "are you a girl?" to some random girl?
It happens all the time over xbox live and I feel like its such an embarassment..
Or the "are you a girl? I don't really care either way I just wanna know"?
Or the "oh your a girl gamer that's cool *sends friend request".
Why do so many of YOU do this?

Well the simple answer is they are new and can't tell the difference so they ask.

I don't see how this could happen unless you're a girl or you haven't hit puberty yet.

Like anything, all situations are different. Just because a girl is in my game doesn't mean she will get a friend request. She has to earn it or send me one. "Earn it" sounds cocky, but it's pretty basic, just as in "real life". If a girl is a complete idiot, she's never gonna get a friend request, or say, a phone number. I've met a lot of girls on Halo and become real life friends with them. One in particular, I met back in the Halo 2 days. She was really good and we were bitching at each other all game. We ended up becoming really close friends and still game together today and visit each other from time to time.

4 RepliesI've never done this once. I cringe when there's a girl in the lobby and guys (usually 13 year ilds who think they are some kind of gentlemen) talk to her all weird like. They SERIOUSLY act like creeps. IDK if they even hear the things they say sometimes lol. I have to mute both of them because of the amount of awkwardness.

Why do so many of YOU do this?[/quote] My girlfriend gets it all the time, we're talking 2-3 friend requests messages a day, more when she's trying to "rip shit up" on Halo. She says she doesn't mind but it just creeps her out sometimes. Some of the messages get quite strange and awkward for her so now she just > block comms.

No idea i do not care if play well then i friend request girl or guy. i mostly type messages so i get it alot. honestyl if you are looking for girl xbox live is the wrong place to start.

My friend gave me 1600 Microsoft points to change my gamertag to KevyGirl for a couple months. I did that for a while and I would get messages all the time. The attention was nice.

I had one of my girl friends round recently and I let her use my mic on halo grifball. I received 4 friend requests and everyone except one guy went out of their way to be creepily interested. That one guy decided to start just being plain annoying. Can understand why girls who may be on live never use mics.
