A few months ago I decided to buy myself a harmonica. I'd never played one before and I wanted to be able to play a large range of songs that I like so I decided to get a set of harmonicas in all the major keys, so I have seven of them (A-G). I got these for £35 and so ofcourse they are simply beginner standard and nothing special, however that suits me down to the ground.
Anyway, today I started experiencing trouble with the harmonica in the key of G. The 6th hole on it makes to sound when I exhale in to it anymore, but it still sounds fine when I inhale through it. I imagine that it is because I probably broke one of the metal strips inside (I don't know what they're called) when I was playing The Promised Land by the Boss. I could be wrong however, and therefor I'd like some ideas of what it might be and anything I can do as the G is the one that I know the 2nd most songs on.

7 RepliesWhen a reed in a harp goes, the harp is "gone". At least until your replace the reeds. It's not hard to do. Depending on the make of your harp(s), getting a collection of spare and replacement parts is a good step in knowing your instrument.
