Heroic Map Pack Announced for Halo 3

Ok so I think that yes, the maps are overpriced and no-one give me that "you have no idea how much work they put into it" thing b/c the fact is that i do and the fact is that if they charged 5 dollars millions of people would buy it and that would be at least, bare minimum, $5 mill. for a couple months of work on top of the money thats rolling in from all there other products and that would probably still be the bare minimum that they make even after MS takes a big chunk out of it and people are right to be upset about it but i don't think people have to be cursing and flipping out about it. Like FoxSnipe said protest with your dollar instead of badmouthing everyone, however, I will buy it b/c im a huge forge player, i think the 1st map will be the best map in Halo 3 and, yes, ive always wanted to drive a scorpion indoors, HELLS YA! but to all of you out there who think that these maps should be free well youve got alot to learn, sure maybe the 1st map was supposed to be in the game and maybe that should be free, maybe, but the fact is they didnt get it in the game so there gonna try to get profit off of it just like any other business would and as for people saying the second map looks like crap well that might have something to do w/ the fact that the majority of the map is indoors and this is just a bad outdoor picture. i definitly think that if they expect a majority of the people to buy this map pack besides huge halo fans (i.e. myself) they definitly need some better pics on the last 2 maps. and also wat ever happened to that misterious 4th map? in all the updates 4 maps were mentioned separtly. they didnt mention them under different names they were 4 separate maps, well my theory is that the fact that they removed this mysterious 4th map is a huge hint that they are going to make another map pack w/ 3 maps that cost $10 and that mysterious 4th map will probably be one of them, so you can probably expect bungie to make a thing of this. but now onto those future new map packs. i think that they definitly need a real close quarters map like lockout, if they were to remake one halo 2 map it should be lockout, sure guardians good and all but there are plenty of wide spread open areas that ruin the "in ur face", as other people have refered to it as, aspect of the map. my thought about why they dont make a map like lockout for halo 3 is the assult rifle, and more powerful melee. i mean imagin playin a halo2 match on lockout where everyone had the same weapon and only half shields and thats wat it would be like in halo 3 but either way i still think halo 3 is in dire need of a map like lockout.

You paid for some advertised product and received the product exactly as advertised; end of "contract," there is no reason you should be entitled to additional products for free. [Also, for those complaining (I've seen a few) they paid $100 and then the extra $30 when the expected price when up, next time shop at a retailer like Best Buy where they won't charge you extra if the price goes up after your original full payment.]

The point of the matter is that I dont think the price is fair and as a potetial consumer I give my opinion on the matter. Besides that ask your self this people if they were asking for 1000 gamer points would you be singing the same tune? Or even 1200 gamer points? As comsumers we are aloud and should give our opinion on the price of a product we would like to purchase or have any of you never heard of haggling a price? "IF" when you went to purchase your copy of Halo 3 the stores were asking $100 dollars for just the copy of the game itself rather than $60 would you of bought it based only on the hype that the franchise has received alone? How would you of felt then if you didnt like game after buying it?

ok 1st off when does it come off. and i think that $10 is alot but the maps look very good and you can add things like mancannons on standoff and walls and bridges. also i will add that if you are some 1 who makes fun of peepole becasue of there voice you are a !@#@#@$!@.

Ok so I see alot of commenting about $10 not being alot of money and if you dont like the price dont by the maps. Well half of you I believe are only arguing with those of us that think the price is to much for the sake of arguing. The other half of you are just arguing the point because you still live with mommy and daddy and you dont mind spending their money. The point i'm trying to make is that some of us that play Halo are grown up and have to pay rent and buy our own clothes, food, pay for utilites, etc. So yes $10 is a little much for 3 maps. If it were 4 maps I wouldn't have such a big problem with it but even still, ask yourself how many maps came out with the halo 3 launch and how much did you pay for your copy of halo 3? I know I payed less for Halo 2 on its launch and received almost double the amount of maps as in halo 3. Then when Halo 2 did bring maps packs out they sold them for roughly $5 which even then I didnt have a problem paying for because they were quality maps that I didnt mind playing for the 1000th time. Are these maps gonna be like the current Halo 3 maps and go stale after the first month or two of play? All I ask is that people keep and open mind to the possiblity of getting the price dropped or another map added. If bungie appreciates their fans they will answer or at least try to give some concelation to those of us who have stood by them for hours and hours of gaming fun.

YAY new maps! i just hope bungie did not use those stupid kill wallz. i understand the potential for cheaters, but if you can only get out of maps in forge, what's the big deal? by adding the kill walls, bungie is hampering creativity, not just with making awesome maps, but taking away the chance for awesome wallpaper screenshots. i don't care if i have to pay ten bucks after i payed $130 for the game, i just don't see the point in kill walls AFTER invisible walls (which i am fine with invisible walls, as they work, and can be bypassed in forge only) Can't Wait!

They sell both Gold membership and Microsoft points. This Update fails, Bungie fails, 10$ for 3 maps fails Anybody who bashes COD4 fails, here's why: letting us know about an update in the works EARLY> not doing that... even after months of complaint 16 maps and many SPECIFIC playlists out of the box > Anything Halo 3's optimatch can offer.
