I have been curious to see what you guys think considering the population of these two games are neck and neck. I have have been playing Halo reach lately after giving up on Halo 4.

  • Reach for me. In my opinion Reach was superior to h4 in all the ways that matter and all the ways that don't matter. In short h4 was a terrible game poorly executed and incomplete.

  • Firefight. I would have loved ODST if Firefight had been open like Reach. Forge and Firefight in Reach made it fun for me right up to the moment they put Limited Firefight into Arcade and then it all went to hell.

      • Halo 4 was so close to being good, but it was just a sheer amount of little mistakes. I do enjoy Reach more than Halo 4, the TU modes seems to feel more like a Halo game than most of Halo 4's loadout and ordnance randomness. Although, The modding community on Halo 4 is doing amazing things at the moment.

            I was disappointed with Halo 4 multi-player and the exclusion of Invasion Slayer. I loved playing the covenant, that was my favorite playlist.

              People cry over that Reach broke what many know from First Strike or Other Books. Reach has allot of fun stuff to it. -Campaign was fun to do even in co-op -Mutliplayer. So many flavors and types. Classics like Big Team to Swat. Griffball was even more fun then in Halo 3. Head Hunter and Stock pile were causalities as people wanted more kills or familiar ground. Race was well not for online play. Living Was a fun game type it was by far the most popular on Reach. Invasion was pretty good as well. Just allot of people could not stand being the enemy.(Kinda Lame if you play the game type and do not understand it.) -Firefight had allot of fun moments. Competitive play and not to mention hours of off line fun if you like. -Forge was greatly improved as it allowed for great ideas and ways to build things if you wanted to spend time on it. Also Forge had Michinamas made a great deal in reach that so far have out numbered Halo 4. Halo 4 Multiplayer is a mash up from older Halo's that some how mixed in a style of play not Halo like. Its like the people making it cobbled it out of spare parts. -Halo 4 Forge is cartoony like yet is like Halo 3 but mid point with reach as the forge mode is not quite one or the other. Despite the claims 343i did not fix Reach for every one it fixed it for its own reasons to gain favor. They have no idea what they are doing as far as MP so those who cried about the bloom should look at the real reasons for it and It was never in the interest of the 99% Halo 4 Multiplayer should give you an indication about where they are and they did things as a favor so you would buy Halo 4 overlooking the short cuts they took in a rush to get it done. I find it sad when they display a Spartan in a Wheel Chair trying to appeal to kids then this silly idea of a Skill Gap. They have no understanding of the Halo fans as they did not test the game as all complaints or suggestions fall on deaf ears. 343i lives in a land of Master Chiefs as they live secluded and listen to there master Microsoft. 343i is owned and was created by MS for making Halo. They remind me of Seattle Mariners with Ken Griffy Jr and Randy Jonson who had a team that did well yet never was able to get going to win a world series. 343i will also face this unless they make some changes. You can buy the best talent but you cannot buy teamwork and doing things the right way with out rushing, yet set a pace. Like any thing if you rush mistakes will happen and it might be a costly one. Much like a long distance runner at a track.

              • The Halo 4 campaign is the best of all Halo games. The problems start with the multiplayer . I'm perfectly fine with the Halo 4 maps and gameplay. But theater...that was a major step back from Reach, no attempt at improvement they just made it worse by removing it from campaign. Then we have custom games, for a game mode where we are supposed to have ultimate freedom with gametypes they sure as hell limited tons of things like not giving us the ability to make a classic CTF gametype. As for forge, the new changes are great, but i feel the gamemode is starting to become boring, it hit the stagnation stage. Next logical step for forge is changing it into a hybrid of forge and a full map editor (project spark) now that would be a mjor step of improvement and will add the fresh change that Halo needed for forge. I enjoy Spartan Ops far more then firefight, but next time 343 really got to give us more varried missions and objectives. Most of the missions are just kill that, defend this and push that button. For Halo 5 we need more different objectives : -plant bombs in the covenant base -escort a high ranking officer in a hostile environment -boarding assault in outer space 343 industries delivered on the campaign . But the potential of multiplayer was wasted. I hope they learn from their mistakes because Halo 5 is at our doorsteps, the good thing is that 343 openly admitted their mistakes, that's something not many game developers do.

                • Halo Reach has the worst Halo campaign. Bland characters, didn't felt that the largest military planet was going to fall, UNSC were horribly incompetent.... George Bungie's swan song to Halo was nothing more then a middle finger to the Halo expanded universe. Halo 4 on the other hand was quite the polar opposite, as it is the first Halo game that made the game and EU universe as one single universe.

                      Why can't we all just go play H3 again? It's still an option. We should resurrect it. It's infintely better than Reach or 4.

                          • Halo 4 campaign is superior in every single way. Spartans ops is better then Reach firefight. Reach theater is better then the Halo 4 theater. Reach custom games is better. Halo 4 matchmaking is so much more fun and action packed. I'll go with Halo 4.

                              Reach was a complete failure in almost every single aspect................no, it was an abomination. halo 4, for all it's fault is still halo at heart and did more than a few well (though it's still not great). You know, I honestly thought people were joking when they said Reach is better than 4, (it's like everyone forgot just how bad reach ) then I realized they were completely serious and died just a bit.

                                  • Halo 4 made the plasma pistol powerfull, got rid of fall damage kills, lowered the map ceilings to nothing, took out the falcon and spiker, and is in the process of removing the mongoose from matchmaking (I got insider info). What the hell do I have left to do in that game? It's like they took a look at all the things I did in the game and asked me personally to leave.
