I'm certain that holding it with both fingers has it's advantages.
I used to play with just one, until I didn't start noticing the shortcomings back in 2009 - 2010.
My friend on the other hand, doesn't give it much thought and claims that holding it with both fingers doesn't feel natural to him.
How do you hold it? And why?

I have both index fingers resting on the trigger buttons at all time. It's comfortable to me.

I tried holding with 2 fingers, but I've gotten so used to only using one that it felt unnatural/uncomfortable to my middle finger.

Both fingers on both bumpers and triggers. However, on my left hand, I tend to leave my index finger on the left trigger, and move my middle finger to the back of the 360 controller, where the battery pack is placed. (I leave my thumb on the control stick)

When i get really into the game i hold the controller a little weird lol. My right hand is the normal hand with the index finger on the trigger other three for grip and thumb for analog an buttons. Now the left hand gets weird i put my middle finger on the trigger other two for grip and then i put the analog stick between my index and thumb as if i am pinching it. I feel that in halo it helps me strafe better.

The two finger thing is just too uncomfortable for me.

Edited by CostlyAxis: 6/22/2013 12:30:11 AMIf I'm not doing anything then I will hold the PS3 controller with my thumbs on the right directional pad, and square button. My index fingers will sit between the triggers. If I'm playing, then my thumbs are generally on the analog sticks, while my index fingers sit closer to R1 and L1. I only place my middle fingers on R2 and L2 when I'm using them.

With my thumbs on the sticks and my index fingers on the triggers. When I want to use a bumper I just move which ever side index finger to it. I do that because it's more conformable.

1 ReplyIndex on each trigger, moving as necessary to use bumpers. Never failed me personally, so I'm good with it.

I just use my index fingers for the triggers and bumpers on my 360. Sometimes I'll throw in a middle to spice things up a bit ;)
