I own an xbox 360, and when i played on my friend's ps3 I didn't notice a difference while I was playing any games. They felt the same...

I've never had issues with the PS controller, mostly because I've been using them for over 15 years. I actually prefer it to the Xbox controller, mostly because I prefer the stick layout being even. Also I think that the PS controller has the best D-pad on any controller due to each direction being more separate allowing more precise directional control as opposed to a disc or plus shaped D-pad. The size of the controller isn't an issue for me (I have pretty big hands too), it's simple really, rather than trying to grip the controller with your palms on the handles which causes your hands to swallow up the controller, rest the handles on the part of your hand in between your palm and fingers, it gives a light yet comfortable grip on the controller (at least it does for me, I can't speak for all people) and allows your fingers to more comfortably reach all the buttons without swallowing the whole thing. Still, the PS4 controller looks like an improvement due to the concave sticks and triggers (which are definitely advantages that the Xbox controller had), and slightly larger size.

1 Replycurious....what controller did everyone use during the ps1-ps2 era?
-
The stick layout and the sticks in general suck.
-
I have no problem with them, got used to them when I had a ps1-ps2. They are however a tad on the small side, and I always felt they could use a bit more weight. But overall I quite like the dualshock.
-
Most people find them less comfortable than the 360 controller over extended periods.
-
I feel like I could snap it in half on accident. And I am not a large guy.

Playstation controllers: Built for Hobbits.

I like it just fine. I prefer 360s of course but I am perfectly content using the PS3s. PS4s does look better and am curious to see how it fits.

small convex analog sticks would have thumbs slip off occasionally thumbs would bump when both sticks were pushed inward analog sticks had a dead zone triggers sucked
-
1 ReplyIts buttons have these weird geometric shapes on them. There was one with four sides, one with three, and another with only one! What dark magic is this?
-
Some games you can't change setting so I'm stuck using L1 and R1to shoot in BF3 but the triggers are flat and I find uncomfortable but u can get used to it, I was but did better wit a 360 seemed like wit me
-
3 RepliesIt's too bloody small.
-
Too small for claws
-
It entirely depends on individual preference. Pointless question is pointless.
-
It's lighter and the joysticks don't have a concave area for your fingers to press. In fact, the PS controller has convex joysticks. Those are the two things the 360 controller has over the PS controller. But I've always preferred the overall design of the PS controller.

Edited by Leukocyte: 6/18/2013 2:04:28 AMFor me it feels really different. For me I really don't like the convex analog sticks and how they are aligned, I always hit my thumbs together. When I pull the R2 triggers, my fingers always slide off. They feel to small for my hands. Feels light and cheaply made. And finally they always seem to break on me, mainly the thumb sticks.

It's nubby

Edited by SergeantFlood: 6/18/2013 1:51:08 AMNot trying to say one is better than the other here, but if you really didn't notice anything at all, you're doing it wrong. And it sucks.

Edited by MajorCrabs: 6/18/2013 1:45:46 AMThe sticks need to be placed higher. If you put your hands together and pretend to hold a controller. You will notice your thumbs point up and inwards diagonally. The PS controller have the sticks around 40 degrees below where your thumbs naturally want to be. Or at least this is what I notice.

Edited by Mitochondrion: 6/18/2013 1:46:06 AMThey were better than the Xbox 360.

1. It's too small 2. Convex thumbsticks 3. Dumb thumbstick placement 4. Too light 5. Retarded triggers 6. The overall shape is stupid
-
The stick placement, for the most part, is annoying to use.
-
For me its the convex joysticks.
