Is there anyone out there that is skipping the new Next-Gen of consoles?
When the Xbox 360 came out I was just finishing up college. I didn't have any kids and I was dating my future wife. I played games, worked, and that was it.
In seven years a lot has changed and honestly I just don't have time to play video games like I use to. Also, with how bad Microsoft screwed the pooch I really do not have any motivation to get a Xbox One. I haven't owned a Playstation since the PS1, so I am not ready to just go buy one.
Bottom line I'm happy with my Xbox 360. There are a few games I do plan on getting in the near future, such as GTA V and AC IV. Other then that there really isn't one game out there that has my interest.
Not enough next generation games that make me want to run out and fight lines for the next systems.
I'll admit Dead Rising 3 looks bad ass, but I'm not going to drop $400-500 for a system to just play one game.
Maybe when Halo 5 comes out....maybe.
Anyone else in this boat?

I probably won't buy any new consoles at launch. Microsoft and 343 already ruined Halo and the Xbox One looks bad, so I won't bother with that. I'm just not sold 100% on anything at this point.

I probably won't get any of the new consoles either. Video games are so damn boring to me now. Whenever I get a new game, I'll play it for a few hours, and then never play it again. I miss the times when I would get so immersed in video game worlds, and have an insane amount of fun living in those worlds. Those days are gone now, and I think it's time for me to move on. Hell, I might even try to play some sports in the near future, and actually try to get a life for once. The Last of Us will probably be the last game I buy this year. We'll see if I can even manage to beat that game.

2 RepliesNot buying any at launch, that's for sure. My 360 is awesome as it is right now. But in the future I will be buying the PS4 because as we all know, Microsoft done -blam!-ed up.

I would not buy one right away, as I mostly game on the PC now.

I haven't played video games in almost 4 months and don't really have a desire to play any games. As of right now, I will not be getting either console. However, I might end up purchasing one sometime next year because there are a few games that I would want. But I will definitely not be purchasing any at launch.
