Weapon and Item Storage in Destiny
I am not sure if Destiny will have a bazillion guns like Borderlands, but it does seem to be a loot game. I hope Bungie implements a system for storing a large number of your favorite weapons and other special items.
I feel like Borderlands 2 made a mistake limiting the number of weapons you could save for one toon. Also, BL2 made switching weapons between toons too tiresome. I'd like to have a huge locker on my ship where my weapons can be stored and transferred between toons easily.

I think this is important. IMO, As a rule, if a game has special weapons or items that are rare, there should be enough storage space to store 1 copy of every such weapon in the game, and some extra.

1 ReplyI know it's a bit out there but I'd love to have a ship so big I could store not only my equipment but personal vehicles and a hangar for smaller ships, that would be amazing.

I'm sure you'll be able to keep a healthy number of guns and store them in your ship. It probably won't be unlimited or anything, but you'll likely be able to store enough to your satisfaction. The same should go with items like armor/clothing/gear in general. What I'm REALLY interested in is if there will be a trading system where you can sell weapons and gear to other players in exchange for currency (Glimmer?) or other items. A meaningful trading system will really give the game a more MMO feel and will encourage interaction among players, which in turn should grow the community base for Destiny. Also, if there is a true currency in this game, that brings up the idea of buying items in the world from NPCs and the like. Maybe you'll be able to purchase upgrades to your spaceship or upgrades to other items. Maybe there will be super cool, super rare, and super expensive gear you can buy to wear as a status symbol. My mind is just racing from all the possibilities.

It's been said your ship is your storage area in one of the many gameplay interviews out there on YouTube. If you find and watch them all they actually revealed a healthy amount of information about Destiny.

Well, you may get your own personal housing as well as what is on your ship so I am pretty sure Bungie will have plans for a good storage system...
