With the new gameplay reveal we have tons of new confirmations.
One big one we have is about death and reviving characters. From the gameplay reveal we now know that upon death, we as guardians can be REVIVED. To me their are several pluses to this.
1) The major plus to me, is that this almost instantly proves that we won't have healing. While it obviously isn't 100% confirmed, it is a pretty strong gesture that we can't heal.
2) It adds more team work to the game. I LOVE teamwork, i don't know about y'all but having people to talk to and work with during a game is awesome to me. I love that feeling of helping and saving others (cause you know i don't die) Joking joking.
What do y'all think of the reviving aspect of death and teamwork?
Feel free to discuss, i will make more topics in these threads about the Destiny gameplay reveal.

i just dont understand why we turn into a yellow orb at the spot where we die... and out body just flies away. Then when you get revived your body just comes out of thin air...

I wonder if there is going to be any downside to dying/needing to be revived...or can I just rambo in and leave my squad mates hanging without any consequences? Maybe no exp/glimmer/something while down?

If there is going to be some form of reviving, which I doubt, only the warlocks should have it because they have the magical abilities from the traveler
-
reviving needs to be in game since if all you die and head back to base because of that then you would need to start over

It reminded me of deaths in the second half of sword art online

Well it's a great friend maker. Friend request fly when you save somebody in Left4Dead, so I see this mechanic as an excellent avenue to get players to send friend requests and pop those mics on.

Edited by Obsric: 6/11/2013 5:34:53 AMSo here's my take on it: I enter an zone 'instance' and get matched with 3 other guardians. I've never played with any of them before. Turns out 2 of them are great, one is a chipmonk who runs ahead of the pack to get more kills or something. The three of us take our time, cover each other and move up slowly. Chipmonk gets a few kills in before being swarmed and killed. The three of us see chipmonk needing a revive, but just pass him. At the end of the mission, we all get our loot. 3 of us have had a great experience and team up for the next mission. Chipmonk gets his loot but his experienced is diminished. I guess reviving can be both good and bad... ...Good for me, bad for Chipmonks. :)

Edited by Coup de Grace: 6/11/2013 5:28:20 AMIt looked simple. It has a nice aesthetic design to it, but the overall use of it may be too simple. We don't know all the details of it yet, though

Liked the concept... Just not the visuals they gave for it.

it looked pretty...in a manly way.
