Customisation is a huge factor in most games now-a-days. But it is practically impossible to have so much customisation that everyone can be different, they can come pretty BLAMing close though. However, with that said, Bungie also stated a while back that they have created more concept art for Destiny than all of their Halos combined, so who's to say there isn't endless customisation. We will have to wait and see. Bring on E3 !!
