Which doctor do I go to to get diagnosed for post-concussion syndrome?

Well, if you don't remember, I posted a topic a bit over two weeks ago, talking about how I hit my head and got a concussion. Well, some people told me to go to the hospital, and I didn't. The next couple days, I was still pretty out of it. Like, I was driving and probably shouldn't have been, but I was going back to my house with some people, and half way to there I start driving towards somewhere else, and they're like, dude where are you going? And I realized I didn't know/remember where I was going, and they had to remind me we were heading home to get my wallet. I couldn't find it, because it was with me the whole time. But anyways, I'm still suffering symptoms and looked it up and found post-concussion syndrome, which I looked at the symptoms and I have a good amount of them. But I was wondering, do I go to a primary care doctor and then he recommends me for a specialist, or do I just go straight to like a neurologist or something?

      • You really should go to the ER. Concussions are no joke. You should have gone to the doctor and you're lucky you didn't die in your sleep. Hopefully you were smart and kept yourself up for a while until you at least felt a little better. You could have possible bleeding in the brain or swelling, it could cause permanent damage if it hasn't already and you may even fall asleep and go into a coma Be smart. Go to the ER. now. Get off b.net and go

        • You're an idiot. I'm not even going to sugar coat it for you. GO TO THE -Blam!-ING DOCTOR. The fact you didn't die in your sleep means you're lucky. Don't drive there. Have a friend do it. Every time you drive you are making the decision to put other people in unnecessary risk. Seriously though, go to a doctor. A Concussion can kill you.

          • What the others have said, go to the ER, I've had one as well and I had the same symptoms.

          • I'd probably go to the ER to save time because no matter which you go to they are probably going to want a cat scan to check for bleeding in the brain.

          • Well, according to cartoons the best way to fix head injuries and memory loss is to hit your head again. Try that.
