I've only read glasslands, and even then I read over quite a long time rather than in a few days, so I don't remember it in detail. What has been so bad about to make people hate them (besides the deionising of Halsey's character, I remember that.)

Edited by Frost: 4/27/2013 7:16:22 PMI thought they were OK; at some parts I just couldn't put the books down and at others I just wanted to throw the damned things across the room.

3 RepliesMy main gripes with it are some of the characters reactions to events dont fit with them at all or even make any logical sense. Take Mendez for example, he was proud of the S-II program. Now somehow he basically hates it and regrets his involvment in it. Then there was that one guy Vaz (think it is him) he overreacts when he was reading about the S-III program which was Ackersons work and he gets all pissed off at Halsey.

I enjoyed them.

Not a clue. People say it contradicts plots but very time I ask they never say what is actually contradicted. I've been curious myself. I thought the books were probably the most entertaining of them all. Aside from Fall of Reach, anyway.

They are written gay-ly and -blam!- the characters
